for those who don't know, alejandro saab is macaques new voice actor! if you need some examples, he voices cyno in genshin impact, yuri in fire emblem: three houses and is now going to be akihiko sanada in persona 3 reload. he's an incredibly talented voice actor, and i truly couldn't think of someone better to take on macaque's role!
i just wanna say, please refrain from comparing him and billy kametz by saying who's better than the other. it's disrespectful to both parties 🙁 i've seen a few people doing that back when season 4's english version first released and it makes me pretty sad. let's be positive about the change!

Wukong literally killed macaque
In a weird way MK needed both Macaque and Wukong to help him grow into a real hero.

Macaque is far from it because of the book itself, in one of the chapters Macaque impersonates Sun Wukong and even creates clones of the gang (by that I mean Sandy, Pigsy, Tripitaka and the DRAGON horse). For him to do the travel and basically Wukong finds out both start fighting their way to Guanyin, the og gang, the celestial heavens, the underworld and then to Buddha.
In that point we actually get an explanation that there isn't just Sun Wukong but there actually four more mystique monkeys around, the one we know is the Six-eared Macaque Buddha explains that this monkey is a near omniscient being knowledge of past present and future and comprehension of all things.
So with this context my theory is that Macaque can see the future he saw the potential danger that would happened he knew the risk and wanted to warn his friends so it would be avoided, Macaque probably knew what would happened and never once mention it. He probably has a deep fear of sharing this fact so he stays quiet about his ability to see beyond the others cannot. OOOO I AM SO so excited once the next season comes out I want many things Macaque real form, his future seeing and possibly backstory about certain characters. Mostly Macaque and Mk.
It's a little awkward for me to ask, but can someone explain what kind of scar he has and what's going on with him? It doesn't seem to be there, but at the very beginning, when he uses a clone (?), this scar is visible in the clone, and like in a couple of other moments. Maybe someone knows?
I didn't know in season 4 he was friends with the demon bullking they're just a laugh
