Mars is much smaller than Earth and cooled/solidified much quicker, therefore it could have possibly gotten a pretty big headstart in regards to the development of life. My biggest concern is that due to how long the planet has been barren, the existence of any complex/developed/evolved life of any sort might remain unknown forever, which definitely includes the theoretical possibility of an advanced civilization. However, I do believe that we'll find evidence of microbial life having existed, at the very least, and I also believe it's possible that it could still exist/thrive beneath the surface of the planet.
I think the more exciting discoveries are far more likely to happen once we visit the planet ourselves versus robots/rovers currently on the surface that lack the ability to do certain things. Honestly, spending my entire life trying to be patient and waiting for that to happen has been a major challenge.

The planet Mars was destroyed, Something very huge hit that planet, at the "scare". Thats the impact site, and drag mark lots of debris and destruction occurred there at that site, What ever hit the Planet Mars hit it hard enough to knock it off its life supporting axis, and it lost most of its atmosphere, and will never recover, ever. Thats exactly what has happened to Mars. I also believe that this was not done on purpose, but done all the same.

I wonder why I never see underground shelters on the moon or mars. They (moon &mars) have no molten core which means no magnetic field to protect the planet from gamma rays and cosmic rays, Nothing will grow in the surface of either bodies. Suits will not stop all radition and will eventually result in the death of the wearer., Moon surface is fractured glass and rock, razor sharp and impossible to clean off, The moon (dust) gets into the valves and suits weak spots like wrist connections and elbow and neck connections. We would be better off on constructing Space Stations that can move to avoid potential collisions. Moon and Mars should be mined extensivly which will allow some healing of the earth eco system.
