Sylphiette (Fitz) knows Rudeus, but he didn't notice her, since her appearance and identity have been hidden and ordered by Princess Ariel.
Also, Luke Notos Greyrat is a bit rude in terms of looking down on Rudeus for being part of his family tree, plus he also gives a fair warning to him on Fitz (Sylphiette) and Princess Ariel as well. So basically he's a show-off, "cares too much", and "worrisome too much" character.
The Blue Bird lead him to the academy, the Red Bird leave him and the Green Bird lead him to a bright future XD.
