一期でごっそりカットされたエピソードですが、二期をやるにあたりベレッタ誕生の経緯は絶対必要なので改めて製作された、という感じですね。

イフリートは炎の精霊の種族名であって、名前ではない
ベレッタは原初の黒の眷属であって黒本人ではない

実はこの名ずけ違和感を感じるとヴェルドラにどうしてテンペストと付けれた？
と疑問に気づけるかどうかなのですが、
名付けについても「ヴェルドラのスライム観察日記」にてヴェルドラ様より解説が読めます。

通常名付けとは危険の大きいモノ
通常「名持(ネームド)」になった所でオーガやゴブリン達はあんなに強く進化はしません
実は裏で「大賢者(エイチアルモノ)」が勝手にヴェルドラさんの魔素を借りて名付けを行っている為(細かくはヴェルドラのスライム観察日記にて)
進化が大きかった…(比較相手は初代リグルが現にそんなに強くない事からわかると思います)

リムルがディアブロに名付け出来た理由は先の展開を視ないと分からないと思うので考察は難しいと思います。
確かベレッタの顔はリムルの好みで作られていて某セイバーみたいな顔だったと思います。
