I think that Natsu is just willing to be friends with almost anyone, while Shiki wants it and actually seeks it. But, when it comes to development, I kind of feel a lack of it from the both of them. Not that they didn't get any, but it could be more. Absolutely love Natsu though. And Shiki… well, he's there. I'd like to think that his naiveness is his alone and that it will get "fixed" by something or someone; I hope that happens

I think one of the main flaw of EZ is the fast pacing. Even in the manga. Mashima is rushing a lot. But he is more on the main story than the fight or the ennemies.
