I love that Reki manages to fight back not with his skating ability but with his technical knowledge. He may not have the raw skill of the others but he can still keep up by using his head.

Reki shows us that you don't have to technically 'win' in order to really win. I love how relatable Reki is more than other Anime MCs. Usually The MCs become really strong in the later episodes, so strong and brave and all those hero characteristics that they end up beating their rival/cool counterpart in more than one way but here that's not the case and it's refreshing.

Sub voice makes reki serious
In all honesty I feel like Reki might be the better skater then Adam and Langa. He has the smarts and foresight. He planned the weather conditions and although he doesn’t have as many skills as the others, he definitely has the more knowledge about skating. Of course tricks and speed are very cool to look at but what is ultimately helps increase your learning is the ability to critical think in scenarios.
