The single’s title track was first revealed on the second IDOLY PRIDE Music Program live-stream, on November 14, 2020. On November 28, it was announced the project would be releasing CDs for six consecutive weeks, with a new single by a different unit every week; The Last Chance was the second of six CDs to be released. The title track Also serves as the ending song for episode 3 and episode 11 of the anime series; it was released digitally on January 25, 2021, coinciding with the third episode of the anime series.
