In TF earth spark the main over all story is that earth now has its own version of the all spark that creates transformers on earth (hence the name of the show) also in the show there are these gauntlets that are connected to the transformers that the main human characters have. It allows them to feel each others emotions. Nightshade shows up at the end of season 1 apart of the other new earth transformers, but in season two is when they get their owl alt. (Also nightshade goes by they/them) the show is definitely aimed to kids but more in the 7-10 rank as it deals with some heavier topics in some episodes.
