  1. So I just got an ad when I tried to watch the newest episode. Whoever runs this channel should tell their bosses this. I pay a premium subscription. If I get one more ad, I'm unsubbing and looking at alternatives.

  2. I was about to say โ€œOobleck does NOT stop bullets?โ€ But it didnโ€™t. He still got hurt. Whew, a vague sense of science still preserved with this show.

  3. Okay, am I the only one who thought senku should have just gone back further like here :26 we see Stanley sees a good few feet to the left, so senku could have just gone further, or crawled back

  4. I think the unrealistic thing is he would have needed a lot more water to convert all that starch into a non-Newtonian fluid, I could be wrong but I think it would need to be more like 1:1 by volume to work. Also that much normal fluid would slow down and maybe even stop a bullet. The faster the bullet the more it will slow down (and may even disintegrate under the reaction forces) hitting water. So I think Senku's best bet for protection would have been diving in the river (as long as Stanley was not packing a harpoon gun as backup) at least that's my best guess based on the time they tried shooting things under water on MythBusters.

  5. I was just about to ask why Senku didnโ€™t think to recreate bullet proof vest? Only for him to improvise one using two common materials ๐Ÿ’ช

  6. I laughed so hard when Stanley was picking between Senku and the other two dudes bc for us it's so easy to see who the main character is ๐Ÿ˜‚ i couldn't even feel tense about the shot

  7. I respect the fact that they didn't just make the non-newtonian stuff just WORK. That's actually been one of my gripes about the later seasons of this show – the building is largely GONE…

And while I still like the story overall, the thing that made this show unique among other shonen series was that it was so much more focused on building things and saving/helping people, as opposed to the dime-a-dozen battle shows.

But the last couple seasons have been almost entirely conflict – or when they do build something, it works immediately with very little on screen effort – like that drone they made last season!
