First season was great. The story has gone to 💩 afterward.
The story within the story should have been how the "evil" king with the assistance of his long trained "witch" daughter had been pulling the strings behind the scenes the entire time, setting him up to be broken to the point of gaining the rage shield and setting him up with allies to make him and the rest strong enough to save the world. The King and Bitch you find out are heroes of the highest order, who sacrifice themselves to the point of being utterly detested/killed by those they love, in order to achieve results that save all.
