Scylla along with Bajiris and Mons were definitely one of the coolest ideas for monsters. They’re basically the fear of thinking too hard and creating horrors that you wish you never imagined and that’s what I like about the trio’s concept. No to mention, the trio are in my top 15 faves of Ultraman monsters.

Scylla (a.k.a Sculla) is so hard for me to call as obscure kaiju because Scylla did appear in this movie. So hard to believe that this movie airing during 1999 at Japan because i born during 1999, no wonder i like about Ultraman (attemp Ultra Kaiju) more than Godzilla (i am Malaysian, not people from US, that's why i not know about Godzilla much despite Godzilla is so popular among Tokutsasu's kaiju). Because i born during same time as this movie came out, so Ultraman franchise is my first Tokutsasu that i saw 😊. Since King of Mons come back in Ultraman ARC series during 2024, so i wish Scylla and Basiliss (a.k.a Bajiris) will got appear for second time soon. I wonder what this eye mean. Scylla reminds me of a great jagras from Monster Hunter World. Especially the hair, giant jaw, and trying to swallow anything that'll fit in it's mouth.
I wander if great jagras has some inspiration in Scylla. Obvs it's an over sized iguana but the hair and from some angles the head are both a bit similar.
