    1. That UrQuattro deserves 1500hp of current RS3 power… give IROZ Motorsport in the US a call, they can set you up. The owner's UrQ is around 900hp.

    2. Rather than going through the entire blasting/zinc spraying process each time a projects' bodywork is complete how about mentioning and putting up a link to a video of the process !!
I'm sure the HSE will along shortly to discuss using a ''gas axe' with no eye protection 😮

    3. Nothing more annoying than a power failure. Sketchiest one ive had was when i was decking a Cummins block on the old Lumsden surface grinder. Suprsing how far they travel when the magnetic bed drops out. Luckily no irreparable damage to anything apart from my underwear.

The only thing i find odd that you guys do is making sure theres clearance at full lock with the suspension at full bump. Always seems to me that its one of those situations where were it to occur a bit of tyre scuffing is the least of your worries as you're either mid crash or already crashed.

    4. “Ur” is just German for “original”, in the sense that it is historicly the first of Audi Quatros. And as such is no abriviation, but a two letter word in itself. I am not certain there is a propper English translation, though.

    5. Quatro’s have always been a rare beast here in the US. Always a car I’ve lusted for. Looking forward to watching this one progress.

    7. Great video as always !! I can’t wait to see Churchill come together, huge fan of your MK II projects…
I must say by now I prefer the grey escort over the bi-colored one 😊 initially it was the other way round.

    8. Good luck with the Interceptor. I assume you know there is no such thing as a 'standard part'. Door sizes vary. Took me 2 yrs to half restore an FF model. We deduced in the end that it might have been more sensible to simply build a new one. Properly.

    9. As you start a new project I wonder whether you could answer a question I've had in mind for a long time. Can you give me some idea what a typical cost to the client of a project might be? They mostly have thousands of hours of labour and masses of bespoke parts so it must be a lot. I realize that projects vary enormously and this will be confidential but I'd really like to have some kind of a ballpark price range.

    10. I had a normal Quattro Coupe 5cyl. Still one of the nicest cars I've ever driven. Would be my dream build, even over the UR

    11. You can be SO GLAD that you're not in South Africa, regarding power outages! It's crippling the economy, but that's exactly what the stupid New World Order wants…

    12. Stance works on YouTube has a Quattro and is swapping out the engine.
My neighbor had one and a work colleague too but that was written off by his girlfriend rear ending it at a junction 😬

    13. always been a big fan of the audi quattro that deserves a restomod as most are quite crusty these days .. churchill looks so smooth and ready for paint .. hope you get the power back on soon

    14. What is the impact on Churchill being stuck in this "mid state" – are there any interim anti-corrosion steps that you have to take, pending the completion of the zinc metal spray? Dowse it in a film of wd-40 or even actual oil? Normally you would blast and zinc metal spray in the same day to avoid any surface corrosion…

    15. 20:08 The brake cap should be sealed from the outside air by a diaphragm rather than a filter. It certainly does need to change fluid level with heat and cold (and wear), but DOT 3 & 4 brake fluid are hygroscopic and will draw in moisture from the air. Over time, brake performance will drop as the water percentage increases.

    16. I saw the Audi in the thumbnail and got irrationally excited! An ur quattro was always one of my top "cars I'd send to Retropower had I unlimited funding" (along with a Fiat 130 coupe, and a Merc W124 estate). I will cross my fingers in hopes of seeing a TTRS 5-cylinder finding its way under the bonnet. Also, I had a chuckle at Bobby hacking off the springs – it's just like the lads used to do with their Civics around here. 😉

    17. Love the Quattro. None of that front mid-engined nonsense here! But please stop calling it the 'U-R' Quattro; Ur is not an abbreviation. Try saying 'Ruhr' without the first 'R' or 'you're' without the 'you'.

    18. Many years ago, I was ferried off to school by my mum in a vanden plas allegro… tray tables in the back, fake walnut everywhere. This was in the early 90s though 😂 2nd had rust bucket lol, and I am scratching my head as to WHY ? Only time will tell I suppose . However; the new project AUDI gets me very excited, I had the pleasure of driving some old school Audi beasts when I worked for a dealership 25 years ago. Lottery win.. you guys will be my first phone call. Don't tell the wife. As always stunning enginuity, attention to detail, bespoke craftsmanship at ever level. I could go on but the smoke I'm blowing somewhere might cause a power cut😂
