I want to set the record straight on MatPat since I keep getting comments about me being mean to him.
I love MatPat. He's one of my top three favorite YouTubers.
Sprinkled throughout the video I say that Mat's theories were the best we had at the time and how I was only able to make this video with a decade of hindsight. I even joke that I only made the video to get noticed by him. But I understand how things like that can get lost in a 9 hour video.
This video explores the story of the in-universe lore, Scott creating the series, and the history of the fandom, which is why MapPat, Markiplier, and Dawko are brought up so much. It's impossible to talk about the fandom without talking about him, and I think pointing out how his theories were faulty and how that impacted the community is an important aspect to telling the real life story of FNAF.
The key quote, I believe, is when I transitioned to talking about FNAF 4.
"I just wanted to talk about (MatPat) because it really paints a picture of how people had no idea what was going on at the time. And as we move into the next section, where I have no idea what's going on, I want you to understand how the people who interpreted FNAF 1 as an alternate universe bad ending prequel have no chance of understanding FNAF 4"
In order to tell the story I needed to explain MatPat, how he was wrong, why he was wrong, and what in hindsight we now know is true.
Comments where I said things like "MatPat had a brain fart", or used the Always Sunny meme to make fun of dream theory, or played a clip of him calling himself cringey were intended to be playful. I only used the cringey audio because I was watching that episode of GTLive while editing, and it was easy to insert because I literally had it pulled up already. Those jokes are almost like a manifestation of my parasocial relationship with MatPat. I felt like I could take jabs at him and they'd come off as funny because of how much I respect him, and the fact that I've been a fan of his for over a decade, and feel like I'm part of his inside jokes, because I watch literally every one of his videos. But the one million people who have seen my video don't know that about me. And that's my fault for not taking that into account.
So no, I don't hate MatPat. No, this was not an attack video against him or his theories. And I did not mean to insult him. Him acknowledging this video's existence on GT live was one of the highlights of my 5-year long YouTube career.

Some of my own theories:
The Mangle is the first toy animatronic to become active because they were the first one to become damaged enough that they needed replacement parts, which came from the possessed animatronic. They're also the one toy animatronic that both has the most amount of remnant and possibly also have the most "mixed" amount of remnant, meaning they had the drive from all four of the original animatronics to do harm to the security guard.
Assuming that William Afton used his illusion disc during his time at the restaurant in FNAF2 (or at least had one on him), he may have left one behind on accident, which randomly activates during the game and reveals Shadow Bonnie.
Mike Schmidt's "odor" that gets referenced on his pink slips are caused by the fact that he is basically a walking corpse. (I don't think he ever really healed, he just got better at hiding his condition)

I haven't finished the video yet, but I want to say that I love how coherently you explain everything. And the Vengeful Spirit being an actual character/protagonist throughout, not just something that comes to haunt William in UCN

Edit 2: upon waking up, something occured to me – and I may have heard of it in another theory – but the bite of 83 could not be a springlock failure. Fredbear is on stage, already in animatronic mode. The springlocks can't fail, because they are inactive. This should be really obvious in hindsight, but for some reason we don't think about it half the time.
My new headcanon for the tragedy is: Mike and his friends push the struggling, crying CC closer and closer to Fredbear. And due to the struggling, and the fact this is four teens vs one baby – a pretty tight scuffle, not very comfortable – one of them trips. Either CC trips and falls into Fredbear when pushed harder than meant to, or one of the bullies – in writing, it would make sense if it was Mike himself – trips and drops CC or pushes him closer to Fredbear than he meant to, and then CC is crushed by pre-programmed animatronic movements.
What baffles me is that in this room supposedly full of celebrating people, not Henry, not William, not either of their wives, not any staff members, not any parents of the other kids, nobody was looking at the stage, nobody tried to prevent four teens dragging the birthday boy toward the robot. These parents suck!

The Springtrap jumpscare is my personal favorite one to this day. Not because it's scary, like everyone says, it's pretty lame in that aspect. But it makes sense lore wise, in that William is still sane (well as sane as a murderer can be) and still very much not feral or angry like the kids who control the other suits. He doesn't stuff you in a suit or anything, he probably just slaps you really hard TJOC Bonnie style and that's that, it's natural for him at this point.

i'm at the begining of the sister location part rn, and am asking myself : why cant it just be The Puppet that says "i will put you back together" and ask the player of fnaf-world to put the breadcrums for happiest day ? (she ask us to put the breadcrums/puzzle-pieces in place for the fnaf 3 players to solve and give its happiest day to CC). since, she is IN the fnaf 3 building, she is the one we control in the happiest day minigame, she is kind by nature and gave life to the MCI kids [she kinda "put them back together" in a way], she also could have been killed before CC [since the security puppet is from this era], and the two white dots from fnaf-world look like the ones she has in her fnaf 2 jumpscare, also possible connection to nightmarionet ? [and maybe more stuff that i forgot]. I find the "henry emily asking the vengfull spirit to help cc throught video games" theory a bit far fetched tbh, especialy knowing the personality of the spirit
