He loves her but she doesnt love him….Its horrid to see how badly she treats him throughout the show. I've never seen a more neglected love interest who continually sticks his own limbs on the chopping block for a girl who pays him no attention, refuses any of his advances (she doesn't have to accept them but damn, EVERY TIME???) And overall only ever pays attention to him when she's in danger or when nothing else is actually happening. The amount of selfish decisions Anne makes half the time without once considering how Charlle feels really hurts to watch imo. It doesn't help that the only time the girl shows compassion is when sugar candies are involved. Its fine to be one track minded but ffs, its to the nth degree with her, to the point where nothing else matters and Poort Charlle remains on the sidelines ready to get beaten up at a moment's notice for a girl that seldom actually ackmowledges him or his feelings
