The Shiki Theater Company celebrated its 70th anniversary, and the cast of The Little Mermaid held a commemorative stage greeting in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Shiki Theater Company was founded in 1953 by Keita Asari and 10 students. It is now one of Japan’s leading theater companies and performs more than 2,000 times a year. Celebrating its 70th anniversary on July 14th, the cast of the Disney musical “The Little Mermaid” currently being performed in Sapporo, Hokkaido, held a commemorative stage greeting. Tomoki Oki, who plays Eric: I will do my best to convey the message that “life is wonderful. It’s worth living.” From the bottom of my heart, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the members of the theater company.” Performances of The Little Mermaid will run until November 26th.
