It also helps that magnolia has a gramgrace type unit in the way that it gives the power boost from persona ride to the back row as well, so a back row unit on a dragon tree marker is getting 25k extra power, and if that unit is a Giunosola, it’s gonna pass at least 35k to another unit, the unit is good, just the fact it exists makes me mad because of what it means for Megumi character in the anime
Will "Ma the cat" change the game? Yes but probably not much as Maggy masque (still super big impact for Greedon kek). Overall gen2 masque units are better than gen1 for me (sure except Zorga)

So thoughts on Ominagruzio:
The deck is made specifically with its Masques version in mind from the get-go, unlike other decks where the playstyle is established before then, and then the Masque version is yet another way to play the deck. I think it's a fine deck from the surface-level perspective, but the decrease in Shield from your Trigger Units mean that you have to be really careful on how you guard from Opponent's Turn 3 onward.
Thoughts on Magnolia Masques:
I think it's a fine card. It fixes some of the CB issues; relegating it to Bist Aiyatvas and Depth Iweleth. It also has better pressure on top of the aggressive nature that Magnolia already has. The downside's simply Dragontree generating,tho.
Thoughts on Masques in general:
Masques are no doubt what OG Reverse were. Only a small handful of Masques were good, and I think we're all just feeling fatigued at the exposure length of Masques in general. I also think that D Set 12 is the equivalent to OG Set 13. It is THE antagonist set with corrupted versions of boss units we've come to love.
I saw the Masques unit and immediately thought of Brandt and Brandt Ringer lol

Masquenolia basically can just generate 2 markers, retire 2 while attacking, which is huge. Just imagine you swing your 2 frontrows to the rear. You'll still force a lot of pressure to your opponent just by having 4 attacks to VG, cuz either way they are still going to lose units.

I always thought it was weird that the masque units don't interact with dragontree markers, so i'm happy that we're getting that with magnolia(well, zorga too with keel severing), but now we need more marker generation. Also, that g1 in booster 7, checking top 5 for a meggy name and giving 10k to the backrow when you p-ride, is a must for magnolia masque.

I will have to wait to play with Ominagruzia to really see how I feel cause I’m getting Unica vibes of looks fun in theory but actually playing on the other hand not so much. As for the Masques themselves I’ve been having a lot of fun playing them, but after set 13 which looks like the finale set for Will Dress I don’t really need to see them outside of festival collections or even a lyrical set.
Chris do you think since 2 of the other 3 member of blackout are now going mask members do you think serph will be a Mask because we saw the new bastion card in the new opening and both Danji & Yu-Yu already beat 2 Mask members.
Here how i fell about mask it just like reverse card where whoever lost got a reverse card but aichi never got a reverse card.
I just feel like masque distribution is a little skewed, like why are all of them dark states and stoicheia bc i thi k keter and de would have some cool masque cards. If bushi wasnt a coward we could have gotten kairi masque. I also think he card design are kinda whatever, like a lot of the masques already had cards that looked evil so they didnt change much if that makes sense. Thats why i think lianorn is my fav masque even if shes kinda mid

the fact that Omina had that fear behind it’s initial reveal that it’d be a 1 deck format is worrying coz it means it’s not that far off being there.
I love how Masques units look so strong in the anime but the game they are just meh.
Ominagruzio has such much filtering through the rideline, Omnagruzio themself, Dragontree Wretch G2, and Hydragrum searching Dragontree and Ominagruzio Masques
Yea Masques kinda lost their luster. But as a Astroea player I'm starting not to like it with the only direct support we got needs masques unit for full effect. Also highly debating on using Misery Wing Dragon and the Omni rideline in Astroea for better Trigger consistency and power.
There also is another card tht can bind in Schwart=Sparda and she isn't Almajester name locked but it Grade 3 locked
Magnolia is like fromage V its reverse/masks form is way better at their format to use than the regular form
Honestly I really like the Ominagruzio leader as a concept. Guessing which triggers are still in your opponent's hand/deck and getting reward out of binding the correct ones by denying shield is a really neat idea. I do wonder if Ominagruzio might be a bit undertuned (especially considering the deck has a hard cap on some power stuff based on number of trigger types, and it sounds like you have to run rainbow triggers which is probably not ideal), but we'll see!
Ominagruzio Masque is an interesting thing to consider in Premium Spikes since you could theoretically use both effects. Rising only copies the effect, not the name, so you could copy Masques, call over it, remove it with Nova and try to push harder with reduced shield and negating the power of a trigger.

Speaking about everything getting a Masque, isn’t that what the anime is implying? If you complete Gui’s app thing they send you a masque deck, so in Vanguard world every deck probably has a Masque version.
The new masques unit are too stronk
I'm kind of over masque, maybe it's because 4 of them went to dark states and it just kind of sullied my taste, but there's suppose to be 10 of them according to Ominagruzio lore so there's one more to look forward to I guess. I think the entry point of masque with Zorga was really fun and it felt so seamless and fitting, then it felt like everything can be a masque even if it might decks clunky which started to stray me away then Dark states overrun happened lol
The real question is if we’ll ever get a masque for keter or dragon cause like why hasn’t that happened yet
The worst part about Masque decks is how many slots their support takes up. Like yay, can't wait to have 4 of this new card on top of 1-3 of the OG unit, then 2-3 of the masque order, then 2-6 dragontree marker setters/masque searchers. +5k to 1 unit and 20 bricks in my deck is definitely worth the going second persona ride 😬

If Megumi joins the Uniformers then Danji will be very disappointed in her. Same goes for her other friends cause she knew what happens to those who join. If it's Zakusa's way of joining then it will be different. Possibly.
i tried play testing magnolia and itsfeels good to play,if u think u are gonna strugling with getting marker ur gonna so wrong atleast for me i have 2 marker on backrow on turn 3 and straight have 3 and goes onslaught on turn 4 with persona ride and 6 atk with retire almost all my opponent rear.I tried putting inlet in the deck and doesnt feel that good but if u change inlet to the goat man what a blessing u gonna have rear with 35k atk pair that with g1 order that let u get +5k for every atk ur unit does and that flower dragon man what a bless
Im not sure how to feel about the game anymore. Booster boxes cost more, events are not exactly in the best of places and i feel that switch tcgs or just collecting what i can would be the best option. i dont know what to do.

Yeah, the anime really made me think I'd hate this to a similar degree as Deletors and Star Vaders, but hearing you talk about the card and others' comments, it really doesn't seem that bad. I still dislike the whole "negate your opponent's defensive power-ups" thing, but it's not broken.
Also, I think Megumi does look a bit "evil" at the end. She almost always looked harmless, but she seems to have a bit of that villain-like cocky confidence in that image imo
Ominagruzio is the only decent Masques after Zorga's. the other ones are just lame. I watched a test match, and the effect of not getting power from triggers and recuding -5000 shield from triggers seem nothing, but when you're in the game, it makes a lot of difference
I wonder if we will get a Reverse encounter before the Dragontree arc is over?
