      Me and my friend came up with a theory.

      Lu Guang's power is to re enact the 12 hours following the moment a picture was taken.

      When coupled with Cheng Xiaoshi's power, which is to teleport into pictures, they can re enact 12 hours of ANY given point in the timeline as long as they have pictures. It's basically time travel if you take into account all the pictures that have been taken since photography was invented.

      When watching the MV you see many different versions of Cheng Xiaoshi (and Ling too if you pay attention enough.)

      The reason why we see so many versions of Cheng and Ling is because of Lu Guang's repeated use of his power. Maybe at some point we'll see Lu Guang desperatly trying to change an outcome where Cheng gets badly injured or to avoid an unpleasant ending by repeating the same 12 hours over and over again?

      The way they joined s1 ed with this op it's like how the story is unfolding, from last season itself to this season.

      JAWS, the animators, the writers they ALL did MAGNIFICENT JOB there's no denying.
