      I think that Dr Stone is actually Senku's father, who was mentioned to be a good friend of Byakuya. He might have wanted to revive Senku's mother, who died of some unexplained reason. And the reason why he petrified the whole world was because he did not know where her dead body was. And he spent all these 3700 years searching for her body( don't know if he found it)

      The interesting thing is that petrifying the world didn't get rid of nuclear weapons. Sure, the weapons have broken down over the millennia, but the cores are still intact. Anyone who remembers where they are could easily rebuild them. Also, Boichi points out that even nuclear weapons are not inherently evil, as in the Reboot, he has Rei use a nuclear arsenal to divert an extinction-level asteroid

      It's just my imagination, like what if that why-man isn't actually a bad guy, he petrified the whole civilization to save them from some kind of mass destruction that was gonna happen in future and that why he is on moon and he's immortal because he is literally creator of Medusa so he knows how to become immortal. And after that destruction event is done why-man will revive everyone, i mean if why-man knows how to petrify then he obviously knows how to revive..

      There is only one thing that I really, reaaally want to know before dr.stone ends…

      —Why was “why” the first words of the man from the moon??

      My theory is that the why man is actually some sort of an ai designed to save humanity from threatening situations in the start the ai would probably speculate the bird flu which has and still causes deaths and petrified them to save the humans but it probably didn't take long to understand that the biggest threat and the reason was science to further support this idea I'll give some examples such as the coal burning which is used for thermal energy power plants that cause a huge harm to the ozone layer (the greenhouse effect) which traps heat in our planet cousing the world to heat up or the use of plastic which cannot be dissolved and just gets smaller and smaller overtime making them microplastics (don't really remember the name so it might be wrong) which in the end make the soul polluted and nearly impossible to agriculture all of these are driven by the discoveries of science and I indeed think that might be the reason that why man was getting more and more violent with his word choices over time it wasn't because senku didn't stop but he continued on making more this is actually what happened in the island too where people where feared to make new ships powerful enough to cross seas because of the medusa it made me belive that they didn't want the science to grow and come the way it was.

      I have a feeling that the end of season 3 dr stone will be when they all get petrified again, then season 4 will start off with Suika being the first human on earth after ending it for the second time

      SPOILERS TODAY: chapter 232… its the end of the chapter…………. they are making a time machine now since medusa offer senku to destroy me or idk after that taiju and yuzuriha are married <3

      Im in the middle of season 1 and got so curious about the reason the petrification and looked for spoilers. It may not be realistic but I hope senku and her two friends get back to their daily life as a student in modern era, when the petrification started. Tsukasa and army became nice and working in their separate ways, and the ishigami villagers will die but always live in senku's mind and heart. Sorry for having such fantasy
