Luke, if you’re gonna really watch steins gate, just don’t overthink things. Lots of reactors consider it as phycological and confusing anime, but it’s not. Actual confusing( depend on a person) with a convoluted or merky plot and symbolism animes are Lain, Eva, texhnolyze, Boogiepop phantom, ergo proxy, and other decent animes. When it comes to Steins gate it is an anime with a simple plot, but just some people say that it is confusing cause in the first bunch of episodes not much is explained ( but later on it gets).
