Ah, yes. Reincarnation Pandora is finally here. Quite possibly THE most controversial Noble Phantasm out there. Mostly because even after almost a decade of it existing, we still don’t know shit about any possible limitations or requirements for it to be used…
Speaking as someone who's favorite character of all time is Gil, they're absolutely right that there's nothing better than cheering against him in a fight.
Next episode we get peak John Strange Fake, and the goat Kirei Kotomine gracing our eyes with his few-second frame appearance.
Gotta love Assassin. "Sorry, I didn't manage to invent time-travel in order to save you. Clearly I have a long way to go."
Personally, not a huge fan of Jack having some kind of "true" physical form when his deal is being some kind of immaterial shapeshifter, if anything it feels like a nerf because a body was needed for him to be able to get harmed
you can actually see Jack the Ripper among the forms Berserker takes this episode
she's barely visible since she's so small but her eyes make it clear where she is
also the transfer of Noble Phantasms isn't too uncommon
there are at least 6 different ways we have seen it happen, the first time of course being in Stay Night
That assassin scene is one of my favorites in all of Strange Fake
What you're talking about with having an army meaning you've lost is similar to what's known as the Inverse Ninja Law. Wherein the strength of a ninja is inversely proportional to the amount of ninja on a given side. A lone ninja is nigh unstoppable badass, while an army of ninja are just faceless mooks that will go down in a single hit.
Its fun that Flat and Jack are sort of a mirror to Waver and Iskandar with Flat being an incredibly overstatted mage and jack being a weak servant compared to waver being a weak mage and iskandar being a strong servant.
Having a servant actually be meaningfully upscaled by their master is something that the franchise didn't really play around with too much prior.
Reincarnation Pandora is some BS tho.
want to see some gil fight? can't wait for ep10 reaction~

Technically, the Holy Grail Wars in Fuyuki were also battle royals. You just very rarely see more than two Servants fighting at a time. Which is what makes this one so spectacular because of how chaotic it is.
Finally, a Jack the Ripper character design in the Fate franchise that won't put me on a watchlist. He feels very similar to Angra Mainyu, since his concept seems to be the fear humans have for each other.
