  1. I HATE YOU AND YOUR OPINION IS WRONG BTW

of course I wouldn't say that. even if I did, you shouldn't be worried lol

    I'll watch this… someday, I AM interested I swear

  2. THANK YOU!

I've seen people bring up the argument "but the creator's said it's ok to start from here", yeah of course the creators want you to watch their currently airing anime!

Also, another certain big YouTuber said the same thing. Don't know what he's smoking.

But yeah, the reason this is one of the best is BECAUSE the more Type-Moon you've experienced, the more you get a kick out of this anime!

Also, Welcome back KeksiWeksipoo, great video chu~chu~

  3. I've seen every Fate anime (minus a few spin-offs), and this series was still kind of a lot. I think most of it was just keeping track of all the characters, especially since I watched it weekly alongside like 5 other shows, but there's a lot going on. That said, I did really enjoy it, and the visuals speak for themselves. Wild how we got this and JJK S3 in the same season. But anyway–under no circumstances would I recommend this as someone's first Fate experience unless they wanna be completely lost lmao (or only care about cool sakuga I guess)

  4. I can see why people think fate strange fake may just be fights and hype moments since the pacing was kinda off for the first half of the season. They cut out a lot of backstory and character work to get the fights put in, basically jumping through 7 volumes in like 12 episodes which is a lot. But even then, i think its a really good adaptation. No idea why they couldnt have done a couple more episodes tho just to keep all the moments in.

  5. The people saying you can't start with Strange Fake are massively overestimating how much you need to "understand" something to enjoy it. And the proof of that is you saying you need to read specifically Tsukihime and Mahoyo to understand what a Reality Marble is, Reality Marbles are perfectly explained in episode 0 of Unlimited Blade Works, I guarantee you whatever additional elaboration exists is not necessary.

Strange Fake has already been a very enjoyable show to people with no prior Fate knowledge, I've seen it with my own eyes. It's a more accessible show then everything you think is an entry point precisely because it doesn't explain anything, none of the stuff not explain does not actually need to be explained, the casual viewer doesn't need or even want to understand how the magic system work. The other Fate/ shows are constantly accused of being boring because they keep stopping to explain things.

I don't find those explanations boring because I'm a Nerd but most people aren't Nerds, most people want Magic in their fantasy stories to just be magic like in Tolkien. What I have seen is newbies watching this show getting mad at all the Fate/ fans to explain that stuff to them and saying point blank to them "I don't' care".

My entry point was Prisma Illya and it didn't explain $h!t either.

  6. I think if there's a series where its totally fine to get spoiled on it would be anything by Type Moon cause things are constantly being referenced across so many of its works that they read more or less like history facts in the sense that knowing the results of certain events wouldn't really take away the joy of watching a historical show based on such events. At the very least, creators for Type Moon seem to treat its stories as such.

This is why I think it's pretty much fine to just consoom type moon content regardless of whether you have the "prerequisites" or not since the series as a whole just likes to build on each other and expand things as a whole whether you like it or not, which is kinda why I think entering the series through stuff that heavily references other Type Moon works is pretty acceptable, especially if you enjoy rewatchibg things and havinng stuff recontextualized.
