Nahh they just did Gil in the anime dirty. In the VN he continues to stand up straight even at the presence of his enemies with such mortal injuries and also still tries to fight back using the swords he already unleashed man. What a bummer.
Not Gil's fault this time. No one expected Ishtar in this grail war and the gate key copy literally can't be used by anyone, which is why Gil tossed it. Ishtar can only use the key to seal the gate because she's the patron deity of Uruk.
Gilgamesh in his young age having so much power yet his pride and underestimate anyone but himself is the key lead to his defeat if any opponent can use it. On the contrast, we have Gilgamesh after his friend's death and Gilgamesh who gave up his divinity. They are less powerful than him but they will not let their bride blind their eyes, they are not powerful but they alway carefull on any situation which made them dangerous opponent
In which he's a weaker (yet wiser) form and sits around and does nothing for like 80% of the series (I know why, but to people it's rarely about facts, instead they sadly value perception more).
Seeing how that's the Gilgamesh at the end of his journey I guess it makes sense.
Are we deadass forgetting that he's basically doing a 4v1 on the past 2 episode's and yet the only way he got defeated cause he left his router for ishtar to take.
well ishtar would never compare to gilgamesh even a heroic spirit gil because of gate of babylon she closed it thats why he was helpless….and if gil always used EA than well there is no point in him fighting anyone…..its like you bringing a gun to a sword fight
I just know it that the key istar threw enukudu will u it to get gil portion immortality or some shit cuz he another during in any universe . Ik some plot armour like that will happen 🤧
Tine fell back into the hole Gil pulled her out from. She forgot her lesson about doubt and and blind faith.
Tine didn't even have to summon him back. She could've begged (with a command spell) for her king to truly make it a spectacle, urge him to give it his all, to show all his magnificence. If Gil took it seriously and rand used his precognition to it's full extent (Sha Naqba Imuru) then I doubt he would lose to anyone apart from maybe a Grand Servant.
Last episode as a whole was dissapointing. They rushed the story so much, that not only Gilgamesh wasn't shown much correctly, but other characters too. Gil vs Richard was dissapointing compared to light novel, they didn't even bother to explain how John came back to life, they skipped entire flashback about Dumas and his encounter with Dantes, they cutted entire fight between Flat, Jack, Clan Calatin and Heracles, they didn't show how Gil was fighting more strategically against Richard and Heracles, using Enkidu chains to tie up shields to protect from multiple Excaliburs and Gil aiming at weaker points of Heracles defense, as well as using abilities of his noble phantasms
16:31–16:35 For that one day u gotta watch FGO BABYLONIA. For me that ver of Gil is my fav he maybe be a weaker ver than his archer class but his portrayl and his charsima is my top fav.
For me i think there a few reasons why & what is his biggest weakness, His Extreme Arrogrance, Hard Counters Exist (characters that have abilities the specifically counter Gil fighting style, like Shirou), He Rarely Fights Seriously
And in my opinion StrangeFake Gil is the serious we have seen, I mean look at how he uses his Gate Of Babylon with large-scale we never really seen him open his GOB to this extent
Gil getting all the fraud allegations is like 80% a subconscious meme the way "Fate is hard to get into" still is. The rest is a bit justified since he always loses (though that is because he has to have plot deal with him because he's too good). With Strange Fake though the sheer amount of cut content makes it worse. He was still aura farming standing there and basically putting boot to ass on Alcides with how much force he started to launch the weapons out with and actually targeting his uncovered parts rather than spam weak attacks. If you ever read the chapter it's fucking awesome just like the Jack fight.
And Alcides almost certainly can't steal Ea. It's a wholly unique existence only belonging to Gil since its first use like 4+ billion years ago and seems to be sentient only letting who it wants wield it.

Gill has a huge ego, I think having an alter ego is better,Like kid gil, I want to see Gil who loves humans so much that he goes overboard 🗿

CHECK OUT EXTRA CCC'S GIL

I’m not surprised that he got cooked by his arrogance but if he does survive this I bet you he is still going to be even more arrogant than ever 😂
time to watch fgo babylon
His best showing is funnily enough in Babylonia.

Well that is Gil's biggest ego in the Archer class which makes him lose easily in the end, he is much better in the Caster class
And also I recommend you to watch FGO Babylonia, your perception of Gilgamesh will change for the be better
You can defend this one but he got bodied by shirou, that was the most disrespectful defeat. Even more than sakura one

In anime form I'd say the best Gil was In FGO Babylonia, in game probably Extra/CCC Gil
Seriously, how are people calling this guy a bum? He is the literall opposite of that! The real bum here is Ishtar.
If you someone wants to know why Gilgamesh is absolutely not a fraud and bum, I can wholeheartedly explain.

I don't like him
1:28 its meme or did that person who tweeted that watch the show? Or did he forget Richard lost to Gil? And Gil got 1v4, give the guy a rest
I think this time the universe just aligned against him, he doesn't expect the goddess that got grudges against him to come

4:05 people forgot that Tohsaka Tokiomi did that, and see what happened to him?
