So, there’s a part of me that watches this and goes, “He’s lying. He, you know, this is being done to throw us off the trail of something that’s actually happening. There is a nonuki and and it is Hikaru and D.” So, there’s a part of me that thinks that. Then there’s another part of me that thinks, “No, he’s telling the truth.” And actually, it’s something new. There’s something else that we don’t know. So, we thought that we were on the on the right track with something. We were wrong and now it’s a [ __ ] mystery again. When are you going to do it? How is he going to respond to this? Oh. Oh. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. No, no, no, no. Didn’t we establish that there is like a little something of Hikadu in there somewhere? Or maybe I’m thinking of something else. Cuz she had a crush on him, right? Maybe. Whoa. Wait a minute. I think she had a crush on him. Or maybe it’s just a friend. Just losing a friend. Oh, that might just be all it is. She just lo She’s just learning that she lost a friend. Oh, [Music] he’s finally seeing this is what Yoshiki didn’t get to experience. He never got the opportunity to grieve. A Damn, bro. He feels like a little bit of remorse for taking over Hikaru. I feel like he is slowly becoming a little more human or at least maybe not becoming human but he’s at least starting to understand people more. I don’t have a girlfriend, but I got a man. But what does that mean? They’ve been coming back lately little by little. Especially the part about granting requests. So there was no new key then. Talking big bro. You can grant any wish. Uh oh. It’s very rare that you get a show like this that can make you like feel bad for like this cursed demon god thing, you know what I mean? It’s like a [ __ ] murderer, but also he’s kind of just doesn’t understand [ __ ] And I just I feel like this like impending I don’t know about Doom, but this something’s on something’s coming. And I think it’s him leaving to go back to the mountain. He’s just a little guy. Well, I mean I don’t know. it just it just makes you really connect to them. So it I think it it takes a it takes a good anime or it takes a good story, good writing to make you feel that way. And so shout out to this show for like making me feel that way, you know? And just before he confronts them, the season ends. [ __ ] me, dude. [Music] All right, let’s talk about it. Let’s talk about it. Let’s talk about it. Let’s talk about the episode. Listen, I feel like there’s some stuff there’s some nuance that I’m not like picking up on here in this thing. We see definitely like there’s like a major attachment that Yoshiki has to not just Hikadu, but also this Hikaru, you know what I mean? The nonuki Hikaru. He has an attachment to this person. And maybe it is it just stems from his attachment to Hikaru, right? He talks about how he’s he hides who he is. He’s always lying about who he is. I maybe that’s him referring to being gay or maybe it’s a reference to something else. I don’t know. Yeah, Hikaru like basically says he’s going to go back but I don’t know. In the end like he’s kind of like crying too. There’s some emotion there. He is in the end he is also emotional. He I don’t think he wants to leave obviously but yeah I don’t know man. What am I missing miss what am I not picking up on here? What is the what is the what are the details that I’m not picking up on here? Yoshi relating to Hiadu on a queer level as not having a place to belong and wanting to save Hikadu because it means he can save himself. I think wanting to save Hikadu because it means he can save himself. H Okay. Okay. Interesting. Probably because they have to provide some catharsis at the end of a season. What this like interaction between them? Yeah, it’s referring to him being gay because it showed that one scene of him pretending to be straight. Uh when he said that in the manga, the scene of him pretending to be straight. What does that even mean? If there’s no hope for him, then what hope is there for me? So, you think that that’s kind of where it’s going with that? The scene of the relatives asking about a girlfriend. Oh. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. That’s him pretending to be straight. I mean, I don’t know. He didn’t really even pretend to be straight. I mean, I think he just like didn’t out himself. I don’t think that’s necessarily pretending to be straight. Pretending to be straight would be if he was like, “Bro, I got hella [ __ ] bro. Hey man, you should have seen my last girl and she was fine as [ __ ] bro.” Now, that would be pretending to be straight. You know what I mean? all he just kind of like laughed it off and he or he said like no or something like that. I don’t I don’t I don’t even know if he really responded to that. You know what I mean? On the other side, Hikatu wants Yoshiki to be happy. He thought him letting Yoshiki grieve would be the answer. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That’s a big part. One huge thing that I loved in this episode, maybe my favorite part of the whole episode is him realizing that like him finally seeing that he did not let Yoshki grieve. him finally seeing the seeing somebody else seeing Oaco grieve helped him to realize, oh, so this is the thing that I didn’t let Yoshiki have. This is the thing that everyone missed out on. Being able to grieve for the loss and then move on. And this is what this is what um Yoshiki doesn’t get. And so Yoshi doesn’t get this closure. He doesn’t get to move on. That was like maybe my favorite part of the whole episode. I loved that. It’s more him being closeted than him pretending to be straight. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like this episode, I don’t know, this episode was very much a a how do I want to describe it? It was like a this episode was a again the first part, you know, his interactions, Hikadu’s inter interactions with uh Aiko, I loved that. That was awesome. That whole part, that whole first part before like the um the little eyecatcher was great. Um then after that, it’s him hanging out with Hikadu and like I guess this whole like realization that he doesn’t want him to go away, finding out that like Kik was about to sacrifice himself and like I don’t know how to feel about that one. That was like kind of like eh I didn’t like I wasn’t as emotionally attached in that moment to it. I guess it does make me wonder like what’s to come, you know? It feels incomplete, right? Yeah, that’s why that’s how I feel like it I I don’t know, man. Just this this end part just feels like lacking to me. I don’t know. I’m still going to give the show a 10. I absolutely loved it. I This show is phenomenal all the way through. Even if like this last part here is like kind of like eh to me, I still thought it was absolutely great. Absolutely great. The entire show all the way through. Every single week it was like probably the show that I was looking forward to more than anything else. I think in in reality it’s probably like a solid nine, but I’m going to give it a 10 anyways because people are probably going to give it ones just because gay. So, might as well give it a 10 to offset some of the the hate. But in reality, I’d say it’s probably like more like a nine. It had moments throughout this season that were like insane. Insane. There’s so much [ __ ] here that is actually insane in the show. I absolutely love the show. Um maybe a 95. If they had.5s, you know what I mean? If they had like.5s, I’d probably give it like a 9.5. I don’t know if I’d give it like a full-on 10. But it is one it is it’s still my top in my top three for this anime season. I absolutely loved it. Looked forward to it every single week. And I’m just so I’m so mad that we don’t have more right now. I want more right now. I want to keep on watching. That’s what I want. Not going to lie, I would have preferred if they ended it on ep the end of volume five cliffhanger. They were just missing a page. Oh, so there’s like a big moment that was supposed to happen after this. Yeah. I feel like they could have cut back on like some of this like traveling to the ocean and stuff. They could have cut back on this a little bit to give us like that last page. Whatever it was, was it like a big moment? [ __ ] I really want to know what it is, but I’m not going to I don’t want to know. But I I want to know, but I don’t want you guys to tell me. Does that make sense? Anyways, man, I’m excited. Hopeo hopefully we get a season 2 2027 maybe. Be nice. Maybe even 2026. That’d be cool. Season 2 episode 1 is going to be huge for that. I’m excited. That’ll be awesome. The end of a volume, you know that the ends of volumes be hitting too. That’ll be sick. I can’t wait for it. Yeah. So, I’m going to I’m going to give it a 10 here on my anime list. In reality, I would give it like a 9.5, but yeah, it was top three for the anime season. Absolutely loved it. Phenomenal show. What do you guys think? Let me know down in the comments. Or are you saying just right now like in this last episode? I don’t think there’s enough content right now for another season. Ah, [ __ ] True, true. Damn, that sucks. Side games main team is working on this one, so expect good production as usual. Yeah, we’ll see whenever it comes. Manga’s probably going to end by the end of 2026 and then maybe summer season again for season 2. Could be. Could be. That would be sick.
