As a manga reader this was the EXACT twist i was waiting for LOL also i saw one guy saying he'd go back and see the scenes with Nazuna and Anko together, but here's the funny thing – there is no such scene. Not in S1 nor until now. In S1, the only thing that happens is that Anko mentions Nazuna's name to Yamori, and that's it.
Literally the best arc of the manga with the best twist. It's so cool seeing how before Yamori, his "predecessor" both as an offspring candidate and Nazuna's friend, was Anko LOL

I think Nazuna is just very immature because she was born half vampire and had the mind of an infant while her body was fully grown into her adult body within a few months after birth. She didn't have a normal childhood and was mostly raised in secret by Kabura until Nazuna was able to at least function like a person, about 20 years. For all that time after Kabora found her in that apartment, all Nazuna knew was what Kabora taught her. Nazuna never learned social skills and Kabura hid Nazuna's birth situation and existence from the other vampires. So when Nazuna first started going to the night school class taught by Nico was shortly after Kabora introduced Nazuna to the other vampires in this city. Something bad happened between her and her first human friend and Nazuna distanced herself from all the other vampires for the last 10 years. Nazuna has had a pretty tragic existence and Ko is her closest relationship for 10 years.
