This show is so beautiful and wholesome… this is THE COMFORT anime!!! I watch this when I’m sad or having a sh*tty day.
I loved this season with the cruise ship arc but I agree that this one more about the slice of life rather than action and missions with Loid. Also Z the OPs and EDs of season 1 are my favorites
I think next season will have a nice balance because the “problem” and I put it in quotation marks because it’s not a real problem is the fact that this manga is released two times a month and the plot goes REALLY slow so the anime needs to wait for enough material to do a whole season so they saved the short missions and the slice of life moments to do a 12 episode season.

I think i liked season 1 slightly more. But the cruise ship ark alone almost takes it for me! It was some of the best episodes in the show
10:35 is when Loid got his first true friend I think. He seems much more relaxed walking home with him and even acted like Bond was his confidant, someone He could talk to

Trying to remember how the manga went after this bit. There was still a bunch of shorter stories but things also start to get a bit deeper.
The movie, non-canon, is fun. I enjoyed it enough to watch it more than once.

I think what I like most about SxF is that the writing is solid enough that I never get disappointed in whichever main character the story decides to be the focus of the current episode/arc.
The thing about sxf is, the one off slice of life episodes are also the plot. Like how those sheep keychains were instrumental to Loid getting to meet Donavon in season 1. The domesticity is the mission. So imo it's all good. Plus, it's cute and funny!
