He was number one in the string instrument category at the 10th Yokohama International Music Competition. He placed 2nd in the String Instruments category at the 20th Osaka International Music Competition. The 16th Izuminomori Junior Cello Competition is a gold medal for high school students and above. The highest ranking in the national cello category of the 24th Japan Classical Music Competition.
