  1. Dream Trophy League is like retierement/death for UmaMusume as their real racing career ended (they run against UmaMusume of all generations like we have seen here Ouguri vs Rudolf)

  2. 9:28 In the end maybe they didn't plan the Cinderella Gray manga from the start, that's why people always recommend watching the season first before the other series,Because the story is not connected for some reason ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  3. Don't worry about the timeline😅
In Cinderella Gray*, they deliberately avoid anachronisms, but the core concept of *Uma Musume is about legendary horses from different eras clashing in dream matches or achieving feats impossible in reality, so you shouldn't sweat the anachronisms.

  4. the spe-suzu close relationship scenes and later in season 2 about the teio-mcqueen scenes are the ones that fuel those yuri stuff on internet.

    bruh…
use your brain to think spe-suzu here is like older-younger sister relationship. spe is the younger one. it just feel like a sweet family love. not some yuri sheet. -,-

also teio-mcqueen is clearly rivals. but friend as well because in the same team spica. but in real life they just rivals in some races.

also, dont pity on the trainer that much about money stuff. XD
the prize of winning the race especially G1 ones is huge. like… millions of yen. if it's in USD, it's be like hundreds of thousands of USD. for one single race. they can do like… 6+ races in a year. but yeah if it's in anime, probably it's all went to those horsegirls. instead of going to the ranch/farm.
but still the trainer get big sum of money tho.
but yeah team spica in the anime they are all still in their early career. not many winnings.
but still.. the sum still big to the trainer. because now the split is only to the horsegirl and to the trainer(and maybe a bit to the academy)… XD

  5. Dream trophy is like Arima Kinen, people vote which horse will race on that but they choose the horses from all era. (While Arima Kinen is only for horses who still active at that time/year)

  6. 9:22 – The Dream Trophy is a fictional race that you can treat like the All-Stars. It's like the Arima Kinen for legends of different times. Anyone, retired or not, can participate in the Dream Trophy as long as they have lots of win from the Twinkle Series.

  7. yeah this episode cemented me starting to dislike spe as character look i know both her and suzuka irl are half sibling so i guess is that cygames are making this scene like how a sister would take care of her sick siblings but what spe is doing it's just too much all she think is suzuka not her training, her upcoming races, her opponents, and her goal and promise to both her mothers so i'm glad that grass beat her and basically calling her out for not focusing on the races and her opponents and before people start beating me out for slandering spe this is just my opinion you're free to agree and disagree

  8. It’s best to think of the Uma Musume timeline not as following real-world history, but as different generations of racehorses attending school at the same time, with races held by generation. So rather than thinking of Season 1 as set in a specific time period, it's better to think in terms of which horse girls belong to which generation.
While senior-junior relationships exist for story reasons in each season, for example, Special Week is from the 1998 generation, while Gold Ship, who is already at the school before her, is from the 2012 generation. Similarly, Tokai Teio is from the 1991 generation, but she talks about aiming for the Triple Crown, meaning she’s still before her classic races. However Cinderella Gray and the movies are set to match their respective time periods.

In this context, “generation” refers to the year a horse girl competed in the classic races. That year is used to define her generation.

  11. I think in Pretty Derby they put every characters in the same timeline just like in the game. Gold Ship is there but actually in real life timeline when special week debuted, she doesn't born yet.

While other series like Cinderella Gray has real life related timeline, only put characters that's the same as real life had.

  12. 7:55 Reasons why Eclipse is considered as greatest. Eclipse's father side great grandfather is Darley Arabian, mother side grandfather Godolphin Arabian. Both are one of the three founding father of thoroughbred (Shown in the Uma Musume as three goddess). Not only Eclipse was fast, he was strong as he had been handicapped by 76kg extra weight and still won all the race. Also race around that time were around 2 miles or longer meaning Eclipse had a great stamina as well. Even at the time considered the best English horse, Bucephalus was stumped in the race and after that no one would race against Eclipse. "Eclipse first, the rest nowhere" phrase was somewhat driven from the rule that when any racing horse is more than 90 lengths(220m) behind the leading horse, it would be disqulified and it is said that they didn't have to count the horses after Eclipse came in. Current 3 major bloodline of throughbred, Native Dancer, Northern Dancer, Nasrullah are all decendant of Eclipse thus almost all successful thoroughbred around the world are Eclipse decendants. Fun fact is one of few horse that is not decedant of Eclipse is Symboli Rudolf, decendant of Byerley Turk, the last of three goddess.

  14. I would like to think that all Uma Musume and people, once getting to Tracen Academy, are subjected to the Ash Ketchum curse 😂, they are forever young and forever in that school for the foreseeable future… Their days in Tracen Academy dont technically end even after retiring from the Twinkle Series…

And trust me, this logic of mine will come into play after this season and the season after that, and all other series after

  15. While there is somewhat of a timeline, it really doesn't make a ton of sense.
To try and make it make sense, you can just view CinGray taking place a year or two before season 1. Because Tracen Academy is a combined middle and high school.

  16. If anyone says there's a timeline, ignore them.
Because season 1 and season 2 is an anomaly because they were released first before the game.

IRL wise, Oguri's era is before season 2.
But McQueen and Tokai Teio already joined Team Spica at season 2 if we force to watch it chronologically. lol

  17. The Dream Trophy League exists only in the anime, it's a league for retired or great accomplished horses in the Twinkle Series, and just like the Twinkle Series, they have their own races, so everyone that's in there are basically the ones that already completed their careers/story, kind of an All Stars match. And something to mention, Tracen Academy is not just an Academy, is also a training facility, so i think not everyone is still studying, just using the Academy or working there, like Rudolf.

  18. The Dream Trophy is like a race for retired horses exclusive for the umamusume universe. It's a way to justify Oguri racing with Golshi as well as retired horses staying on the academy. They don't go into details about it. Also we don't have any clue about the timeline, only that season 2 happens before season 3.

Personally I like to think about Cingray as an alternate universe where time flows, while season 1 – 3 is horse Valhalla. The Movie and the OVA seems to be horse Valhalla too since some girls get implyied happy endings despite sustaining carrer ending injuries.

  19. Umamusume don´t use the real life timeline, they just use the results of the races. Season 1 has the one with most anime only races in the series, that one with Rudolf and Oguri never happened in real life

  20. The timeline is that, after 'retiring', the horses can still run. Instead of in the game, where you got Senior year and that's it, they continue to race. If you think about it, Teio and Mejiro are there. But their 'race years' have not yet started. So, the timeline is… you race and then remain at the academy to train, mock-races and for the Ura Finale thing, which is like an Academy event held every year for both the new horses and those who have 'retired'.

  21. Even in S1, which is considered the weakest, it still serves as a great introduction to the Umamusume world in general.
There are these moments who just hit at the exact right moment for the biggest impact.

  22. Season 1 is experimental animation.
The concept of time is vague.

The management of Uma Musume has regretted this.
From Season 2, actual horse races will be reproduced.

Incidentally, retired horses participate in a race called the Dream Series!
However, this is an anime story.
    It is a fictional race.

In the anime, Simbol Rudolph won the race.
But once again, there was a problem!
Fans of Oguri Cap, Fujikiseki, and others got angry!

    Why did Symbol Rudolph win?

    Complaints poured in (laughs).

Since then, the management of Uma Musume began to hide the winner of the Dream Race.

  23. The racehorse Glass Wonder is always talked about when the topic of the best racehorse comes up!

The races in those days were really powerful!

Jockey Yutaka Take, who was riding Special Week at that time, looked back many times as if he were Special Week from the anime!

I too think he is one of the best long distance racehorses in Japan.

    I love this episode.
Special Week losing sight of his goal, his best friend scolding him harshly, his trainer reminding him of his goal.

    I love stories like this!

  24. Eclipse is such a beast 11 out of 18 races, he run solo in the front leaving all horse in the dust. He has to retire very early because no one want to race with Eclipse.

What make him one of the greatest is not his no rival or undefeated but the number of total length gap of 1st and 2nd throughout his career which is 200+ length in those 18 races. Average more than 10 length per race.

For comparison one of the fast horse Maruzensky pull a 61 length throughout his career, average 8 length per race
