This anime sucks, I dont know how a 200 hp keeps up against 500hp to 800hp supercars, at least in initial D. It's kinda plausible, but here? It's pure bullshit.
It would have been better if the protagonist has an R35 GTR (Since its known to be Superkiller) or a Supped up Evo X (An old gen car that has a lot potential) or heck they could use the new Supra beating supercars that's tuned to destroy supercars because…Oh I don’t know it's more plausible? I know will get a lot of hate but this anime isn't like Initial D.
