random That shaman king game on the gba was so damn good 😅
I hope The Super Star gets its anime appearance. But, at this point, I don't think it's enough to make up for its bad luck!
I watched it. 🙁
I watched it all the way through and it was solid now I need to read the super star manga now will that be animated who knows
I watched a bit of Shaman King but never enough to fully keep up with the story. I had a game for the GBA I remember playing but again no story stuff. I really enjoy the concepts and should rewatch it!
its not just the anime thats cursed. the manga is as well. for a long time, it was hard to even acquire volumes of SK since it swapped publisher hands a few times. and the "Princess Hao" anti-climax ending was what a lot of fans were stuck with for years until Takei-sensei finally returned to do a new conclusion.
also the less we talk about Joco's original name and design the better…
I took a break from anime for a while after other things took priority but when I returned, Shaman King Flowers is the first thing I watched but always aware of the possible Firefly-effect that the show may have. I would really like to see the story continued.
I cant believe ima say this but i prefer the original loose anime! I mean they gave mah boy Morty/Manta a scene where hes a Shaman! Thats all I ever wanted! And the here we go again ending, better than "well we failed to save the world and my sons a total brat!"…….. Also the "team rocket girls" were a nice touch
again with this Tri thing I never heard of
man just gimme a Rio spin off where he goes around doing justice in small towns, with that truck driver
I had no idea Flowers had anime till a few months ago.
The 4kids English op is a classic can confirm lol
Yeah, I tried to watch the sequel but I just couldn't stick with. Characters were flat or just not right interesting
I did read up to and through flowers and saw that it was canceled. Good to hear there is a continuation finally.
I saw it
I really hope they don't end it here and actually do SuperStar PLEASE
Shaman King is one of my favorite manga snd this was my breaking point on Netflix jail it deserved so much better than what it got
I think a lot of factors why nobody watched the sequel was basically the ending of the first one don't get me wrong I'm a hardcore sham and fan I was there when it first came out and Shonen Jump In America I remember the exact day I bought my first Shonen Jump because of SK
But that ending, Hao won the Shaman King fight the only reason he didn't wipe out Humanity was not because the gang combined the powers and defeated him it was because of his own mother slap some sense into him. And we all remember how depressed the gang was technically because they did not achieve their dreams really when you think about it only Rio achieve his dreams on a technicality because Yoh and Anna became wandering beatniks… and the fact that Hao was 100% correct on what what's going on
I'm not going to say much about the sequel and its major issues but the fact of the matter is there was too much of a gap of time to get back on to Shaman King even if you are an old-time fan or a new I remember late 2010 or something a lot of Studios were offering the Creator to remake the show or at least do the sequel but he refused because he wanted all the original voice actors the play all the parts and a lot of voice actors were already moved on to other things and one of them I think passed away from that line alone I read on the wiki I knew for a fact we'd probably never get any Shaman King stuff let alone merchandise a lot of other factors is trying to get a physical copy are the manga because back then online reading was starting to be put behind a paywall Shonen Jump has a really bad history of not reprinting a lot of their stuff that's why eyeshield 21 really hoed when it got an English dub because it was behind a paywall and and jump didn't push to at least make more reprints for new fans
I enjoyed the original anime’s ending with Zeke being defeated. The Dub theme is so catchy.
I skipped over flowers anime… because… i knew that ending… i read the original flowers manga… and got… "blue balled" for saying in a way… also… Shaman King The Superstart ENDED last year… idk how it was ended…
also… if talking about "bad luck" you forgot to mention that the original manga GOT CANCELLED at one point…
Shaman King is on my top 5 manga series of all time and Sakurai is the best Character Mankin has. I'm still mad that Takei decided on the conclusion of his arc in The Super Star.
Either way, It'd be hard to adapt The Super Star because you'd have to add Marcos and Red Crimson there as well.
The opening of Flowers is a banger.
Hey you!! I watched it, Death Zero arc was really good.
Thanks for shining a light on this. I loved Shaman King and I bought and read the entire rerelease Kodansha put out. I tried giving Flowers a shot but wasn't wowed by it immediately and kinda forgot about it.
I'm a huge fan of not just Shaman King but also Hiroyuki Takei. I have the manga and Flowers in my house and read its spinoffs online. It's a shame his series has had such bad luck. But at least it has a strong cult following. So that something.
I do hope The Super Star gets an anime. Just keep Netflix the hell away from it.
He's right, the Shaman King anime has gotten so many chances that most wouldn't dream of, but it keeps messing it up! The 2001 anime completes before the manga ends. The 2021 rushes through all 285 chapters of the completed version. Flowers gets announced shortly after but takes YEARS to actually release. And then the Flowers ends abruptly. This franchise really IS cursed. I wish Promised Neverland would get the leeway this series could.
Thank you for this video because Now I have to watch this anime sequel for myself even if it's cut short.
Hey, digimon ghost Game is getting a dub
I did like the anime but I just thought they dragged the part with Hana getting his new spirit just soooo darn much!
Weirdly you can find Shaman King merch more easily than Digimon merch in Japan, at least that was in Tokyo the case when I went in febuary/march 2025.
Shaman King is my #2 favorite series next to Yu Yu Hakusho. I enjoyed the original and reboot as well as Flowers
what went wrong? manhwa adaptation happen. current generation prefer korean manhwa anime over japanese anime. more manhwa anime going to take over. even china anime now looking great. Japan manga need to 'Up' themselves & improve their. once one piece end, there will be nothing left for japan manga to rival korean manhwa.
I was SO confused when i saw this got an anime release because i very distinctly remember the manga getting cancelled after just a few chapters.
The coolest part about Sakurai Sakutaro in Flowers is that he's the lead character from one of Takei's one-shot manga, Death Zero. This is similar to Anna debuting in a one-shot prior to Shaman King. Really cool tie-ins!
i kinda just want an anime of Red Crimson, the Tao Jun spinoff book.
I didn't even bother with flowers shaman king 2021 left me really sad and disappointed that I just didn't even wanna bother with flowers also the pretty lackluster animation wasn't only present in flowers but also plagued shaman king 2021 even tho it strays far from the manga I find myself more interested in the first anime of shaman king in 2001
Flowers is amazing, just not hitting this demographic
My dumb butt thought they were gonna combine superstar with this once this anime was announced, maybe i was too hopeful. 😂
I was def into shaman king, the orginal anime when it ended was definatly lack luster. It was maybe a few years ago and read the orginal manga ending and was blown away. I couldnt finish the 2021 anime cuz of some of the english cast being recast. I understand why but man yoh just didnt feel like yoh to me yoh know? Still a great story
I watch the sequel wait on that next episode to drop and finish reading up reading the manga shanan King Stars that a continuation to this
I didn't know that flowers was getting an anime adaptation until way after the fact and at that point considering what happened with Yashahime, I said to myself that I would never in a million years watch another anime that has kids from previous protagonists because 9 times out of 10 they usually drop the ball with that idea. Plus a friend warned me years ago that Hana was a character that I would not like and yeah, I wouldn't like this kid……. If the show further flushed him out. Which unfortunately since this show only has 13 episodes, doesn't feel like that we knew any of the characters and that the classic characters that we wanted to see namely Yoh and Anna were gone, I probably would have dropped it after episode 3 and even if I were to go all the way up to episode 13, I would have felt the exact same way that you felt. It also didn't help that I had my own issues with the shaman king reboot anime especially when it came to the fight choreography in comparison to the original anime and the fact that it just felt way too clean in comparison to the original anime. It sucks that shaman king keeps being shafted a lot of the time despite having a really cool premise that ends up getting picked up by bleach and JJK with those being beloved. But hey at least it has a really cool english opening theme and I still prefer the original anime even to this day even with the reboot existing.
Wait this came out?
Legit wasnt even aware this happened, which is a shame.
well know about the manga it was base off it just the new anime adaption of shaman king left a bad tase in my mouth i didn't really care for it
I love the manga but the anime its just kinda boring the remake was very rushed and lost a lot of moody vibes from the original.
There was a sequel? 😅
shama king flower's boruto
The shaman king flowers series was nice but there is a sequel to this which is ongoing in the manga
