Hello there! In today’s video, I discuss my thoughts on the 1964 movie Gamera, the Giant Monster. This video was requested by one of my viewers, @DawnLong-s3k
Daiei had initially produced Gamera The Giant Monster as a means to rival Toho's Godzilla franchise. They didn't think the film would actually perform well in the box office, but it was a bigger hit than they expected.
Multiple sequels were released later on, but after Gamera vs. Zigra, Daiei had faced financial trouble and eventually filed for bankruptcy.
