I kinda have the same thought as you about the alien girl. But for me, I literally don't like her at all. I mean, who does she think she is to judge others? Just like you said about the way she turns Mienin into Gamoran and make it rampage. When Team EYES attacks Gamoran, she was like "Earthlings are really violent." But I was like "Girl, you're the one who make it rampage, everyone would fought back against anything if it's a threat no matter what races they are."
And after everything's done, she just leave the Earth without taking any responsibility for damage that Gamoran causes due to her action.
And above all else, Captain Hiura came too late to meet Sawaguchi because of the alien girl. If it weren't for her action, Captain Hiura might manage to convinces Sawaguchi to stay on Earth and maybe get back together with her.
There are many episodes in the Cosmos series that tell about aliens, huh?
