  1. Am I the only one that was kinda 'meh' about this anime? The robot stories are weak (except North 2) and all the robots committed mass murder while still being portrayed as saints, none of them changed by war in a bad way for some reason, they just don't feel real… It's an anti-war story of a very shallow kind and the mystery doesn't come close to the levels of Monster or 20th century boys. Very good animation and acting though.

  2. Pluto was and is a great Anime and have amazing visuals… but the Story and the Storytelling is ON POINT.

There are many Anime out there which would all deserve better. Zankyou no Terror , Mardock Scramble, B-The Beginning (is still waiting to get finished), The Promised Neverland with a 2 season what was only a bad joke for the Fans.

Netflix brings more harm to Anime.

  3. Man thank You I just finished watching it. Im not smone kind of anime big fan I saw a few of them, and this ….. this was something special. I dont kow how I bump on Your video but Im glad I did. Cheers and again BIG thanks.

  4. One of my fav anime of all time. I couldn’t believe no one was watching it on Netflix; it upset me, no one cared. It really should’ve been released elsewhere including a psychical release. HBO would’ve been perfect.

  5. Watched the manga and it is a failure for me. The character design and animation are good but useless, baseless intrigue and huge amount of western propaganda (preparing the minds for the next Iran war ?) ruined it.

  6. Wait, what? I thought Pluto was a well known, highly praised anime?

It was amazing, and everyone I've seen talk about it says the same thing.

  7. I actually came across Pluto from that one scene with Na-2. The piano music. The grouchy old man. Yet no idea of the sadness that would become until I watched it. I was devastated. He made his characters so damn amazing.

  8. What a great video! Thank you for introducing me to Pluto, those Strongest Robot episodes were some of my favourite, along with the robot who was looking for his head and the racing one with the two robots in love (basically Romeo and Juliet). I have not thought of Astroboy for maybe 30 years, thank you so much, I cant wait to watch Pluto with my kid thanks mate!

  9. I agree. Very under-appreciated. In terms of depth — both emotional and intellectual — Pluto has more than any other anime I've seen. I'm fascinated by the main characters, specifically, by their seeming more human than humans do or, more specifically, by their having greater humanity than humans have and by their feeling more deeply than humans do. Also fascinating is the depiction of the little boy android as the embodiment of ideal boy-ness. He's a distillate — a concentrated incarnation — of all that is good about good little boys and only what is good about good little boys. Likewise the little girl android. She's a distillate of all that is good about and only what is good about good little girls.
