Rainy weather? This is exactly what Britain is like.
Again, could the boffins at Porsche not have come up with any better wunderwaffen?
Yup, “Yabai” in Japanese has about as many uses as “shit” does in English.
Seems like he’s now being recognised.
And so it’s raining.
What grip? It’s raining, that’s basically nonexistent.
It’s lights out and away we go!
Things seem to be happening very fast.
It’s butting in to stop you from slamming into the railings.
No Eurobeat?
Sounds like there’s going to be a bunch of overtaking next episode.
Crazy how this show can almost bore me for 4/5th of the episode but end on one cool scene and I’m all in.
Welp. The problem of low power in the straight section got solved due to the rain. Kanata will prolly daredevil his way all through out the course while most drivers gets cautious due to the slippery road.
Kanata plot armor OP.
And as tradition, the animation of the cars this season seems to have improved compared to the last season similar to its evolution in Initial D. The animation especially in the previous episode felt ‘fierce’.
I’m here for the races and Kanata/Ren. This gave me a nice helping of both so good episode!
Rain race! Lets go! Less anxiety when it’s animated and you’re not worried about real drivers. Except the 17 guy he can crash for all I care.
~~Episode~~ Turn 14: **4WD Attack**
Finally a traffic car that neither a Nissan Leaf nor Toyota Mirai, an Audi Q5. And we back with another episode of Dungeon Mes…. wait this is not set in a dungeon.
Looks like Ogata’s garage got a new car in the shop, it’s a black Lancer Evo 3, [Initial D]>!which pays homage to Kyoichi Sudo’s car!<.
Guest commentator for Race 2 is **Ryuji Ikeda**, the [Initial D]>!red Z33 driver from Team Spiral, also teammate to Okuyama who tuned Kanata’s car. !<Voiced by **Kazuya Nakai** (Roronoa Zoro, Toshiro Hijikata).
You can see how good the CGI is from the raindrops on the car windows, such detail.
From the next episode preview, looks like Kanata already got closer to Taylor rather than escaping from Ohtani.
Welcome back, everyone! Another week, another edition of the Eurobeat Corner!
This week had us all wait until the last minute for a single piece that didn’t even kick into gear, which makes me feel kinda robbed, but thematically it fits so I might just give them a pass – Kanata’s charge begins with the unmistakable starting notes of [Rock Beatin’ Wild](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=e4SyQ_0h57k) by Fastway, out of Super Eurobeat 201 and also featuring in Initial D Arcade Stage 6! I really hope they continue from that point on, because this song goes hard.
As previously mentioned, I have decided to indeed split up both playlists for organization’s sake. The first season playlist is [here](https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW9uh-jWCYcaO_w1vDE65j6WwNRLM1kxP) and the second season playlist, already updated as of today’s episode, is [right here](https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW9uh-jWCYcaEl5WTBDMk2vLwGeg6BiwZ). I’ll keep it updated with every episode, so just sit back and relax!
• More food! And Kanata gets the experience of what being famous is like. Dude has to start looking over his shoulder a little now…
• The commentary booth continues to serve as the retirement home for Initial D rivals, with Ryuji “John Zero” Ikeda joining the broadcast. For those that don’t remember, he’s the guy with the Z33 from Fifth Stage that gets assed by Keisuke in the fog, and then almost gets killed by the Shinigami, and then tries to stop said Shinigami from killing Ryosuke and then himself. He’s apparently upgraded (?) to politician, which, hey, good on him. Funny to think that both members of Team Spiral are now in this show and probably getting more screen time than they did in Fifth – Okuyama, the mechanic, was also a member of that team.
• A pretty typical start to a wet race – everyone taking care in extremely low grip conditions and the only moves made being those of opportunity when the guy in front screws up, like Ooishi and his whale of a Lambo. AWD won’t save you when your car weighs the same as a battlecruiser. And then there’s Kanata, who was apparently just waiting to see when the Mercedes-AMG GTR in front of him would try to block the inside and immediately swoops around him to drop his gloves and kick the race off. This dude has no regard for his own life.
We might have gotten a bit trolled this week, but there’s no escaping it next time! The race is in full swing and Kanata is the first to make a move… I can barely wait! See y’all next time!
I am way too focused on this episode without even watching the timestamp, and not realizing it reached the ending. Even though I read the manga (and obviously know what going to happen), this race gives me goosebump like I am watching first few laps of Formula One. Rain is really making the race unpredictable, and some characters actually share the same struggle on driving on the weather,
Sundays are awesome again.
2015 petit lemans replay
It’s always cool to see races in the rain, because in real life most would be suspended, the next episode will be very interesting
This reminds me of the high-stakes world of professional chess in traversing the globe to compete in prestigious tournaments. This lifestyle opens the door to an array of culinary delights, from savoring the aromatic spices of Indian curries to indulging in the rich flavors of Italian pastas, each destination offering a feast that fuels both body and mind. Yet, beyond the allure of exotic cuisines lies an intriguing social dynamic; these chess virtuosos often captivate hearts with their mastery of the game. With each calculated move and deft maneuver, they create a palpable tension, igniting excitement in the spectators, particularly women who are drawn not only to their skill but also to the enigmatic charm that comes with being a chess master. In this world, the chessboard becomes a stage, and every game is a performance, where strategy and allure intertwine, leaving a trail of admirers in their wake.
The way the ED transitioned in, it almost seemed like the POV of Kanata was very peaceful inside his car instead of stressful like everyone else’s 😂
This episode flew by! Loved how we got a Ren and Kanata date and her teaching him slang was cute, but things really picked up with the Ashinoko started. Tricky track and weather conditions? No problem for Kanata lol. If anything he welcomes the rain and added difficulty. Can’t wait to see what they cook up next week.
So hyped for whatever eurobeat plays in the rest of this race
