Seeing how Keisuke and Takae fell in love just kinda makes what happened more tragic. They were a pretty sweet family. You can really tell Keisuke loved Takae a lot.

Despite the sus title, this is actually quite good so far. I’m very curious to see how they’ll make this new little family work. Takae’s got two lives to juggle after all.

  2. They did really good on The first episode, and already made me cry as same as manga did

I know The title is sus(i’m glad It has other one on streaming services) but this is a really beautiful story

  3. I suppose *”My wife died, was reincarnated and has two families now,”* doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.

But dang, this episode focused quite a bit on Keisuke, I need to know what “Takae” does in her ‘other’ life.

*”Even when you think you’ll be with someone forever, they can still disappear from your life at any moment.”*

Man, as someone who once lost a close family member, I can really relate to this.

  5. I still can’t tell if this show is going to have some drama-filled twist or if it’s going to keep being a comedy that conveniently glosses over the fact that the father and daughter were deeply depressed for a decade and couldn’t move on from the mother’s death and now have an unhealthy emotional attachment to her reincarnation.

Either way it seems interesting and is animated well so I’ll keep an eye on this show.

Also LiveChart says this is supposed to be a 2-episode premiere in Japan, is episode 2 also supposed to release today?

This is looking to be quite the touching story of a family. I’m tempted to call it right now as the most underwatched anime of the season.

As much as I like how husband is reunited with wife, and daughter is reunited with mother, should I stock up on tissues because I fear my tears will eventually flow?

I am reminded of “Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again”, which share a similar comedy theme on the surface, yet can be touching at times.

  8. I can understand why this family would be so distraught after losing their Aoi Yuki MILF but **because** she’s an Aoi Yuki MILF she comes back! Albeit in child-size form!

“Melancholy” is what I would like to describe this series.

Despite being “reunion” and happy for now, It always has the feeling that at the end of the day, they are still separate and will never be the same which is quite sad.

They are actually doing pretty good in this episode. It made me tear up several times throughout the episode.

OP is upbeat but mellow down at the end because it represented the father’s point of view while the ED song is slow mellow with speed up note at the end seem to be from Mom perspective which is quite genius , I wonder what her new life was….

This one did not disappoint me.

  10. Fuck It, i already fucking tearing up. I’m so glad that the anime so far brought that same feeling in the manga. Ready to bawl your eyes anytime guys.

P.S: The OST is also gorgeous as hell, can’t wait for the release.

This gonna be a trip isn’t it, not sure my heart will make it through the entire season.

It was both depressing and funny at the same time, but it looks like it’s going to be a sweet story. I think I’m gonna cry a lot while watching this. However, I know that some people will slam and drop this show without giving it a chance because of the “age difference”, because that’s all they think about.

  13. Came for the outlandishness of the title alone, stayed for the genuine wholesomeness of literally everything. That opening sequence had massive Up vibes, man.

  14. Guys! Don’t sleep on this, like Gimai Seikatsu last season, the title is not what it seems.

  15. the premise of this is cute, but mentally this is terrible for him because he can now never move on. His wife who he obviously loves is back, as a 10 year old. So now he will never move on with a romantic relationship with anyone else because of the child wife and the age gap is so huge that even they could never really have that again either.

The same can be said for her as well. neither can maintain this weird situation and also have independent lives.

  16. * [**Keisuke & Takae**](https://i.imgur.com/nHE3jpC.jpeg)

[Seeing how Keisuke and Takae met](https://i.imgur.com/g8xbCKQ.jpeg) and how [they eventually started a family together](https://i.imgur.com/eLo46rS.jpeg) really made that tragedy of losing Takae more painful. Not gonna lie, the first 5 minutes of the episode genuinely made me tear up and I’ve read the manga!

Don’t let the title fool you, this series is all about loss, reunion, and moving on. I haven’t kept up with the manga for a while now so I have no idea where this all leads to but I remember liking what I’ve read.

  17. I knew the Sourcereaders where telling that this wasn’t as sus as the title would suggest, but hopefully the word spreads, because this was pretty neat.

Love how one of the first things Takae does after prooving her identity to her old family is giving them an [ear full](https://imgur.com/ENtFpJ2) for their deterioated lifestyle after her death, and then imidiatly goes to fix it

It’s easy to call the dude a [creep](https://imgur.com/KzatbyR), but I can honestly understand him, it really is an miracle… and I would be devastated if Takae reverted lost her previous memories again…

Which brings me to another point, the Girl Takae reincarnated into had a whole ‘nother life up until this point, and living both will be a) taxing and b) hard to keep separated in the long run

Also, [homewrecker](https://imgur.com/YqVkRhn) detected, her eventual rejection will certainly spell trouble as well…

  18. After watching ep 1, I reailized It usually starts out funny, but will leave you crying at the end.

  19. Makoto_Kurume on

This is a bit weird, and the voice acting feels off to me, but I’m curious about where the story is going

  20. I think the story will be about moving on. Obviously, the coworker girls likes our MC, but MC will have difficulty of accepting her feeling, given that his wife is reincarnated.

Given how Takae acts, I think she will be the one pushing her family to moved on without her.

Though, I want a miracle where she can just fully come back.

  21. I like that the unhealthiness of Keisuke’s inability to move on from the death of his wife has essentially manifested in him becoming attached to a young girl. Takae plays it for comedy, but she’s literally 100% right every time she says people will see him as a predator. From an in-universe perspective, that’s what he is, and he won’t stop being that until he can actually move on from Takae’s death. It’s a really clever use of the premise.

That said, I thought the show was pretty bland visually, that the characters were all kind of one-note (what else do we know about Keisuke besides the fact that he loves his wife?), and that there are better shows themed around grief airing this season–Kinokoinu Mushroom Pup hit much harder for me personally, with a very similar setup.

And to touch on the hot-button issue, yeah, Crunchyroll made a good decision in localizing the title how they did.

  22. Huh?! You can’t waste your twenties shut in the house all the time!

You gotta go out and hunt! Hunt!

When i was your age, i was dying to fool around and hop from man to man like there was no tomorrow!

With guaranteed air supremacy, this is a manhunt, if anything!

It’s like kicking boys scouts about.

    Me after watching the ED:
Him: Your honor, I did take this elementary schooler with me a middle-aged man on a fishing trip, and yes the captain of the boat did hear me call her my wife… But that’s because she is and she came on her own free will! She has all her memories!!!

I literally cannot stop thinking about possible wild court cases

  24. Queue_Jumping_Quack on

It wasn’t nearly as tragic in its portrayal as I expected. Sure, there was the whole “Pixar’s Up” flashback at the start, but the reincarnated wife just marched into the life of past family and started comically berating in almost the very next scene.

Perhaps the drama will follow in the next episodes?

I choose to trust the assurances of source readers that the story won’t “go there”, and indeed the introduction of the female co-worker seems to point out to a future second love story.

Nice, but not great so far.

  25. Vermillion_Crab on

I know it’s probably going in a more wholesome direction but I can’t help to think how messed up the premise is. Dad and daughter were depressed for a decade. Wife, despite reincarnating, now has a different family. I know I’m overthinking it but I’m interested in how this story unfolds.

  26. I didn’t check seiyuu list beforehand and was’t ready to hear Tanya von Degurechaff here

  27. Born-West9972 on

Was hesitated to watch but gave a try and boi I was so wrong, don’t drop it just because of title, it’s good anime, fully recommended

  28. Ok I just know this show is going to break me. I hope we get to see Takae’s other family and how she juggles between the two cos I doubt that other family is just gonna let the 10 year old keep visiting another family’s house.

  29. Recently read this manga and I won’t spoil anything, just affirm it’s a pretty good story with some important life lessons and excellent character growth.

Don’t skip it just because the premise seems cringe and pedo, it’s really not.

  30. He could probably claim the photo is of his daughter if anyone asked. Anyway, I wonder what her family thinks of her making an adult-sized bento everyday in-addition to her own food whenever she goes out.

  31. If she was reincarnated for good then no problem. The reincarnated stuff only happens starting from when the person was born but in her case, she just recalled it after 10 yrs so it is a little tricky what her real state is
