I read it raw from Shonen Jump!…. OK I can’t read Japanese and have only one edition with it but…. Yeah you’re right.

Back when the manga first came out…I gave it a try . The art looked like a sketch rather than a final product idk it looked really wierd. Didn’t read after a couple of chapters . Anime though had been great .

Anime is honestly garbage just like Akame ga kill, and any other anime that uses the dumbass trope of “Let’s kill off anyone and everyone that the fans love”. This trope is idiotic and is used when the author can’t actually do good story telling. I’d rather watch 1000 episodes of One Piece and watch Luffy do absolutely nothing than watch 12-24 episodes of the author killing off 12 different main characters. This is fantasy and made up, so I want my heroes to be alive and win all the time. The second I heard they started killing people off for no reason, I stopped following this trash anime.

Don’t worry when the Finale is animated, this take of yours would be mainstream.

I wouldn’t say it’s directionless however you are right to an extent. The writing is bad to say the least. Multiple plot points just dropped for no reason, god awful writing for characters (some characters are just plotpoints like naobito and some characters are just handled so poorly like uraume), excessive utilization of deus ex machina (I’m fucking looking at you chapter 267). In my opinion gege set up way too much and either was given way too little time to finish jjk or simply got tired of jjk since we know he didn’t like how it went and that he wanted to make an idol manga.
To address the second panel of the meme I’d say that this is a universal issue among anime communities nowadays, not just exclusive to jjk. Many people say “shut the fuck up just watch the show” or “you’re just hating it” while completely disregarding that you can criticise something you like and it’s our duty as consumers to be critical of the media we consume.
I think that’s it I might have forgotten a few things but whatever.
EDIT: I remember what I forgot, saying that jjk is carried by animation is imo an over exaggeration. The characters are great (as much as that may conflict with one of my prior points) and the power system is quite interesting.

Most Jjk fans don’t even understand their own power system

Demon slayer is one of the most plot empty, stupid animes they have produced in the last 5ys
Its insane how it has any fandom, defending demon slayer over jjk just lets me know its not worth arguing with you…

well imo jjk kills of too many characters, to the point you just stop carring about them dying. the characterization in general kinda sucks. and lot of characters feel pointless

I fell asleep for three and a half episodes in a row.
When I woke up, I didn’t feel lost and knew exactly what was going on.
Because nothing had actually happened except a nameless demon getting killed.

Exactly thts why its rich when ppl used to shit on mha and demon slayer while calling jjk peak.
Jjk felt empty and their entire personality was shibuya arc which is lowkey overated af. Just bcz a few npcs died and 2 or 3 main cast died and there were some good fights doesnt make it ” top 3 arcs ever” .
Jjk literally doesn’t know how to do death right. 0 emotions even a random demon dying in demon slayer had more emotion behind it.

To me, I lost all expectations the moment Yuuji turned up alive after that abandoned factory “death”. A much better story would’ve been to reveal him to be a decoy protagonist and carry on with either Gojo or Megumi as a protagonist. Would’ve been nice to have reckless unprepared kids actually die for once only to carry on with veterans and cautious ones.

Not directionless, no, just really dragged out, like One Piece, but not bad on the level of Shield Hero or Solo Leveling.
