But he is right at some point. I’m not saying that anime is crap. But everyone spends their free time as they want. For example I won’t go fishing just because someone likes it and i will probably call fishing a waste of time but that’s just my personal opinion. for someone else it will be an interesting pastime

Anime is just another medium of delivering entertainment. If they prefer doing it via D&D, doomscrolling tiktok, reading books, or music; then that’s fine.
But it’s those people that limits themselves from other potentially enjoyable hobbies.
