I paint as a hobby and creating paintings of different anime’s has been my niche since I started. I’m really really good at copying things that are laid out for me when it comes to sketches and design however I cannot take a real life photo and convert it into something I can paint on my own. My best friends father recently passed away and I’ve been trying to convert a real photo of her and him into an anime style using different apps and programs so I could paint it as a surprise for her birthday but I have had no luck in finding a program that can convert the photo I’m trying to use into something even semi realistic anime wise that I could paint. Does anyone know an application that could do that for me or is anyone able to translate a real life photo into a realistic anime translation (just a sketch)? I can send my previous paintings as reference to show my style of painting if that helps! I just wanted to do something meaningful for her and I know this would mean so much if I can do it well but I am not a realistic painter. I can only paint anime and cartoon type pictures well but she also loves anime so I know it would mean the world to her if I did this!
