i’m fuckin possessed.mp4 Song: Brutus – The Buttress Manga: Requiem of the Rose King i don’t normally do long descriptions, but i’ve been wanting to do an mmv for this series for a loooong long time. even moreso since the anime was released and looks………. well. 😐😑😐 i started working on this in january after watching Nekokitkat’s “Killing Kind” win best in show at ALA. it is an absolute masterwork, and it inspired me to finally start this project. i highly highly recommend giving it a watch!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75-mah0vIpc&pp=ygUMa2lsbGluZyBraW5k anyway, i tried to prioritize narrative with this one , since i figured the majority of people watching this had never heard of this manga. even then, it’s still a little convoluted (casting both edward and henry as caesar in the song), but hopefully it makes enough sense. i highly recommend this manga to anyone who loves telenovela-adjacent historical retellings, intense drama, and raw tales of messy queerness. this definitely contains spoilers, but So Much Happens that it’s truly just a drop in the bucket. i’ve been reading it since 2015, and even though it ended in english this year, i know it’s gonna be with me forever. CWs: homophobia, intersexism, abuse, SA, incest, age gaps, transmasc dysphoria, and idk pretty much anything else. the amount of stuff they pack into this shakespeare fanfiction is bonkers insane this was brutal but he’s worth it. i absolutely absolutely intend to make more of these, even if they’re less complex mini-mmvs about individual characters. i also know an even bigger one is on the horizon. i can feel it creeping up on me, but i’m gonna keep whacking at it with a broom until december.
