Regardless we're in the endgame of Kamuy now, the lines have been drawn, the code can be cracked. That moment of actual semi-sakuga with Sugimoto going ham with the amazing art and detail was sublime but also serves to sever that connection that Sugimoto had with Tsurumi's lackeys so it's gonna be all out war. Felt lump in my throat hearing Asirpa saying she would refuse to tell Sugimoto cause she knew there's a chance he would leave her and in doing so likely die alone, that she wanted to be his shield and to go to hell with him, truly cements how much they care about each other because Sugimoto also knew that he would likely go that way too. Much better pacing than the last couple episodes as well, seems like that time away might have been needed even if it came from a tragedy.
