The Bible: Exodus 20:1-17 7th is the commandment “Do not commit adultery.” “Adultery” is having a physical relationship with someone other than your husband or wife. How do we make sense of this in a society where this commandment is treated as obsolete and adultery is talked about beautifully? As Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for man. Man was not made for the Sabbath.” It is important to accept it as a guideline for happiness. 1 Personal Fellowship Between Husband and Wife “And said the Lord God: It is not good for a man to be alone; …Therefore a man leaves his father and mother and is united with his wife, and the two become one flesh. But are you going to take a part of Christ’s body and make it a part of the prostitute’s body? This should not be the case. …don’t you know? Your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who are in you from God, and you are no longer your own. 1 Corinthians 6:15,19 ・We tend to argue about how much is permitted and how much is forbidden, but why did God forbid this?
