Hey Eddie, thanks for the great uploads, I was taught not keep your fingers anchored to the fret board, more to use a piston type technique lifting each finger off as you change frets. Keeping fingers anchored can make shifting strings quickly hard, as there will be a musical gap between lifting and moving. Having anchored fingers will make sweep picking arpeggios very difficult as an example.
