Some additional lore stuff, I’ll avoid spoilers and stuff that are beyond genuine basic lore stuff and FSF story stuff that the anime skipped.
Dorothea is Jester's true name, he is originally a female/girl, but after becoming a vampire she gained the ability six-hearted revolver which allows him to swtich cores like we've seen before, that change literally rearranges everything from his body to even his soul, that is how she managed to evade even holy church's excutioners detection. So when she changed to the Jester that we are most familiar with, she becomes a genuine male being including her soul, and when she changed to that kid, she genuinely becomes a kid as well.
Van-Fem is one of the 27 Dead Apostle Ancestor, and Dead Apostle Ancestors are the pinnacle of vampires and they are mainly from the tsukihime world/Lore. They are Rank IX, the highest rank of all vampires and they utilize something called the Ideal Blood to achieve Ancestor level. As for Vam-Fem he is number 14 of the DAA and is one of the oldest dead apostles in the world. Rather than getting bitten by another vampire, he chose to become a dead apostle himself through magecraft to take his magecraft to its conclusion by gaining more. He is known to be one of the most human-friendly vampires and dead apostle ancestors.
Normally in fate world there are no such things as Dead Apostle Ancestors, just like there are no servants in Tsukihime world either, because one “affirms” humanity whether the other one “denies” or “reject” humanity. The division between Fate and Tsukihime world occurred around 2017, so long after the official release of Fate Strange Fake, which was why Narita was super surprised about it as well when he first learnt about it, but then Nasu just said it doesn’t really matter for FSF because this is a unique world in between Tsukihime and Fate world, a blend of the two, essentially giving Narita green light to do whatever the fuck he wants by separating this novel from other fate series. So not even FGO is this unique and special in this regard, only in FSF can we find DAAs roaming around in a world with servants and grail wars going on.
Lore wise, the division mainly depends on whether humanity is strong enough to suppress vampires and others that reject humanity, and whether it is strong enough to support thrones of heroes so that heroic spirits can be summoned as servants to protect humanity. Although the specific details on why humanity is stronger in one or another isn’t fully explained, but it most likely has some correlation with Zelretch, because unlike previously thought in old lore, he is not a vampire or DAAs across all world now, in Fate world he remains human, and he would remain very active with the mage association and continue help protect humanity and suppress other vampires. Whereas in Tsukihime he is still a vampire and one of the DAAs that is less active up front because he is more neutral over there between humans and vampires.
The characters that are supposedly DAAs in Tsukihime world would mostly still exists in Fate world, but they are not necessarily vampires like their Tsukihime self. Those that are still vampires would have the abilities suppressed and unable to reach rank IX due to not having access to Ideal Blood and become ancestors, but they would still be far stronger than other vampires and dead apostles. So even though here in FSF Van-Fem is a rank IX DAAs like in Tsukihime world, in his other appearances in Fate world he would just be a superior Dead Apostle (rank VII).
As for the story stuff. During the short conversation between Van-Fem and Waver, the incident he mentioned about meeting Lord El-melloi II’s students, that would be an incident that originated here in FSF and later got further fleshed out in the Adventure of Lord El-Melloi II novel series.
Additionally, Jester mentioned that he would obtain the grail and destroy all humans and then re-affirm humanity when only assassin is left. The novel actually mentioned that he intended to use the grail to wake up the spider from South America to do so, I won’t go into details on that character since I am not sure how much you know about it, but that thing is labelled as pretty much the strongest enemy in whole Nasu Verse. So, if he actually woke it up the whole world would be pretty fucked yea.
Lastly, the anime didn't mention it here, but part the reason why Flat got taken out so easily by simple guns other than the fact that they just gone through a a long battle to get out of that reality marble and got careless afterwards, is exactly because those are just normal guns, without using any magecraft and sniped from extreme long range, if those utilized magecracft, with his talent Flat would've noticed it. Furthermore, Jack the Ripper was already extremely weakened after the fight with Alchides, and during Flat's conversation with Ayaka, his main focus was on Richard instead, since they have not formed an alliance yet at that point, Richard was technically a potential hostile servant that needs to be caution of still. Had he been in full form he probably could've saved Flat too. As for Ayaka, she was actually guarded by one of Richard's friends (his other noble phantasm, the floating light balls you've seen before) which was why the sniper didn't just snipe her all together as well.
End of strange fake saturdays man…at least S2 is announced, that shit will go so hard, from what i've heard they're approaching it with the same care they did this season AKA pure cinema. I will absolutely stick around for more Fate – not playing FGO makes complete sense (I don't either). It's really sad that some of the best stories are locked behind weeks of FGO gameplay and will probably never get animated, but animated FGO is also excellent. Strange fake is more rewarding the more Fate you watch (there are SO many easter eggs, not including the many cut out from the LN). I would also like to point out that there are some AMAZING other works in the Fate universe not labeled with Fate:
Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II – Short show on Waver's experience after F/Zero, his path to Lord of the Clock Tower, and his experiences as Lord (includes Flat!)
Garden of Sinners – Completely separate magical mystery agency, features Touko Aozaki, the red hair woman at the end of Heaven's Feel who created Shirou's puppet body. I have heard it is Nasu's personal favorite.
Witch on the Holy Night – Ufotable movie coming out this year (can't fuckin wait) that primarily centers on Touko and her sister Aoko
Now for notes:
Sir Van-Fem (Vandelstam) is one of the 27 Dead Apostle Ancestors (making him a very big deal even compared to Dead Apostles). He only shows up in Adventures of Lord El Melloi II, which is still only a LN, and he runs a casino where you can ask him for anything if you win. He is actually currently looking for Shirou, who went missing after winning against him before claiming his reward. Flat met him there and traded phone numbers.
Altria is the "officially" correct name for Artoria. Nasu prefers Altria and will push that name whenever possible, but the entire community prefers Artoria.
I'm pretty sure the parachutes were left by Tine and Gilgamesh – I remember that a parachute was mentioned before Gilgamesh fights Rider and Alcides.
please take care of yourself first. I can't speak for other's but I'd rather less videos with the knowledge you're taking time for you than more videos and pushing yourself.
to simplify to an insane degree: Jester is trans (or genderfluid with a preference for male forms it's not fully confirmed) and Dorothea is his birth name. Knowing a True Ancestor's original name is often a key weapon in fighting them as there is power in knowing that name, hence why he reacted so badly. think those old legends where you're warned not to tell the fae your real name or they could control you.
Francesca was very much hoping to break Saber's spirit. instead, he's now fighting at full force with Ayaka's insane magical output at his back. the shadow that tossed him a sword is actually one of several servants Saber has at his own beck and call to assist, part of one of his Nobel Phantasms called "Rounds of Lionheart"
the "old neighbor" Van-Fem mentioned is actually in reference to Flat's ancestors and what's gonna happen now that Flat's been taken out, those screens going static were a sign that killing Flat was a big ass mistake. a very big one. and not just because the fans are furious.
also, Sigma didn't outright kill Tsubaki's parents (just utterly brutalized them) because he knew killing them would make Tsubaki sad.
Dead Apostles Ancestors are kings in the Dead Apostles world. Van-Fem has been around for 4,000 years, and was present during the age of the god. Regardless he's one of the strongest Dead Apostles around, and is friendly with humans. He's even on good terms with Shirou from Fate Stay Night.
The reason Faldeus took out Flat so suddenly is because he didn't want Flat to team up with Ayaka. Ayaka and Flat are the type of people who has the charisma to make allies with other factions. Ayaka is already allied with False Assassin, Sigma and Enkidu, so on top of that if she teamed with Flat it would have been a big problem for Faldeus. Hence he took out Flat who wasn't protected by Jack since he was already severely weak because of his fight against Alcides. Faldeus couldn't take out Ayaka because she was protected by Richard or one of his companion spirits.

once you are caught up with the fgo anime stuff, and if you want you could watch "The lore of FGO" videos by OtakuDaiKun. They go over everything that the anime skiped and more fgo main story as well as events.
He also makes great general type moon content, if you want to react to some i would recommend "Lessens in magecraft" but only after you have watched all the type moon media that has been animated, since he shows clips from the shows
Well, there's a high ranking mage from the clock tower and another mage get killed by gun in episode 0. So it's possible especially when we think they shoot the gun from a far, and of course Faldeus was there in every gun shot that kill the mage😂.
Hansa actually did warn Flat in epiosde 9 I think. He said that Flat should go inside the church cause if he's stand out too much it would be bad for Flat himself, something like that. Now it literally back fire him😂.
27:24 Flat is completely helpless when it comes to anything physical. He cannot graduate from the Clock Tower because he continually fails his physical combat credits. So a very regular and physical sniper is a blind spot for him.
If you’re worried though, Flat’s shadow is cast over the rest of the series and his death is constantly brought up again and again as a big event and very important to multiple important characters. Flat’s always been a cool character because he’s a mystery box that we only figure out by seeing how others perceive him. We get even more of that through his absence.
