Yea you should rewatch ayaka's backstory back in ep6 , most of your complaints were legit answered in that ep. I do agree about the source material being better tho
Pale Rider is the true form of Mr. Black, and Jiao comes from Crossbow, if we pay attention, Tsubaki's Parent wants to use Crossbow (from its design it is a Chinese Crossbow) as a catalyst
I think Jester just triggered Tsubaki to express her wish, so when Tsubaki said she wanted to be a Magician, Pale Rider responds to Tsubaki's wish by trying to kill everyone there to win the Holy Grail to grant her wish.
Tsubaki's parent planned to summon the Chinese emperor Qin Shi Huan at first, so they try to use that bow to summon him, but they didn't expect that their daughter became a master and summoned The Pale Rider through the bacteria inside her body. And Jiao are one of the souls that's stuck inside that bow, because she got struck and killed by that bow before.
As far as i remember, here is some explanation from the novels:
When Tsubaki was injected with the bacteria, her parents objective was to make her a powerful mage capable of researching true magic. And when she became comatose, they were happy that at least her reproductive organs were not compromised since they could still get a strong mage out of her.
Also they planned to participate in the Grail War using a Crossbow as a catalyst. That Crossbow is famous as being used by a hero to kill a Sea God. When Tsubaki's servant opened the link with the underworld, that god returned briefly too.
And Tsubaki's servant is the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, that brings death.
Mr Kuro – Ghost is Pale Rider, but more like the power of it, power without will or purpose, unless given by somebody else, but also able to learn, at least as I understand it. Think about Pale Rider as a tool for God to execute the apocalypse, no will of its own just power
So I think The Pale Rider is Fake Rider (Mr. Ghost), The Pale Rider is the fourth Rider of The Four Apocalypse, The fourth out of Seven Seals that The Lamb (Jesus Christ) opens, this is what The Book of Revelation said about it "When He (The Lamb, Jesus Christ) opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying "come and see." So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth." NKJV Revelation 6:7-8 So Mr. Ghost is just death, I thought he was something like that from episode 0 when Gil called it a curse of death. so it has no will of it's own it's just Death
Jiao means shark or whale depending on what words you combine in mandarin. She uses a shark emoji when talking so that makes sense. So yes its chinese and that cross bow is also an old chinese qin dynasty crossbow design. Qin dynasty being 200+ BCE checks out and matches with Jiao's claim that its being 2000+ years since she talked to a human.
If you can please add release that witch into your roster. It is a very good series and it's a shame that not much people are talking about it especially the big content creators
The underworld connection has been hinted at throughout, but well-masked by the series focus on other characters. In particular, the focus on Ayaka's large mana reserves masked the insane power flowing through the Tsubaki conduit. The greatest powers demonstrated throughout have been through Tsubaki, we just didn't realize it.
Greatest in that we're not just talking about momentary bursts of great power, but instead things being brought into the world that literally just stick around indefinitely.
For example, how long have Tsubaki's parents been stuck in that reality marble? Probably throughout the entire series. For as long as Tsubaki has been in her Coma. It didn't have the feeling to me of being something that had just been created in the last few episodes, but instead something that has been active the whole time, separated from the real world.
That is, right up until Gilgamesh's defeat and Tine's attempt to resurrect/heal him. That created the link between the real world and the underworld. "Ooops".
Tsubaki herself is clearly too immature to actually be in control of anything. At best her desires are simply creating the framework upon which the overwhelming power using her as a conduit is using to realize itself. There are no strong commands framing the power so it can do whatever it wants, seemingly with infinite mana reserves.
That points straight to the leyline, rather than the grail. At first I thought it was Ayaka tapping into the leyline. And perhaps she is to some degree. But it really sounds like Tsubaki's conduit is getting most of the energy and that the fake grail has more or less lost control over everything.

Interesting things this episode
The father is giving Shou Tucker a run for his money
I think the Pale Rider is just Mister Black becoming tangible.
And the former Goddess I believe is somehow connected to the bacteria her parents found in South America and injected her with.
I have read some of the Novel, but the Anime has overtaken my progress.

10:15 A Fate series with a boring, poorly written protagonist? No way! That's very unusual for this franchise…
