Every Catalyst in the Fate Series Explained | Fate/Strange Fake | Fate/Stay Night

Catalysts are one of the most important elements in the summoning system of the strongly Fate series. In science, a catalyst accelerates a reaction, but in the world of Fate it takes on a completely different meaning. A catalyst is an item, location, or object connected to a specific Heroic Spirit. When used in a summoning ritual during a Holy Grail War, it greatly increases the chance of summoning the exact Servant the Master desires. Without a catalyst, the result becomes almost like a “gacha roll,” where the summoner has no idea which Heroic Spirit will appear. In this video, we explore a comprehensive list of summoning catalysts that have appeared across the Fate universe, including famous examples from Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night, Fate/Apocrypha, Fate/strange Fake, and Fate/Grand Order. 1. I still dont get how Franchesca can summon herself. I mean Merlyn is forbidden to be summoned in the future solely because the Island of Avalon and his tower prison prevents him from dying and to be summoned in the past, he needs to go through hoops

  2. Kinda bummed that Solomon wasn't mentioned. He was only summonable because Marisbury used the ring of Solomon as the catalyst and because Marisbury is Solomon's descendant. Otherwise it wouldn't have ever worked
