AGEはバリバリ世代でリアタイ勢でした。
フリット編後編（ユリンVSフリット）からずっと面白いですし、最初は色々と手こずった（日野晃博社長の）脚本も、アセム編から歴代作品のオマージュやちゃんとした展開がされていて、1年間観て初めてわかる作品だと思ってます。
アニメと同時に展開されたPSPのゲームでは、オリジナル形態が続々出てきて、映像化もプラモ化もしなかったのは同時は少し残念に思っていました。
ですが、ブレイバーンでお馴染みの大張さんを初めてガンダム作品に引き入れることに成功した（それまで何度も打診があったが、スケジュールの関係で参加できず）のもAGEですし、1年連続4クール作品も（業界全体でも）AGE以降ほぼ途絶えてしまったのも見ると、もっと再評価されてもいいと思うんですよね、AGE。
正直フリット編のフリットはユリン出るまで面白くないんだけど、
フリット・アスノという男自体は起承転結で見ればネタ的にも苦労人的にも独自の魅力がある男なんですよね。
ゲーム版AGEには色々オモシロ形態みたいなのが出て来てたけど、サンライズ側から「ガンダムらしさ」を強いられたのか知らないけど、余り日野さんらしいぶっとんだ事させられなかったと言う印象やんね。でもコレが反面教師になったのかどうかは知らないけど、ぶっとんだ展開目白押しのビルドファイターズシリーズに繋がる契機にもなったと言う意味では決して無意味な作品では無かったと思う。
当時からガンダム・ダメAGEって一部では言われていたけど…自分もフリット編とキオ編は余り好きではなかったけど
フリット・キオ2人の狭間のアセム編は毎週楽しみに観ていた。
アセム編のストーリーが良いのとOP担当ねごとのSharp#が世界観に合ってて凄い好きだった。
フリット編は強いられる事を強いられているんだ！

仰るとおり掴みであるフリット編序盤が弱いんですよねこの作品…そこを超えると面白いんですけど
その掴みが弱い序盤をリアタイだと1週間スパンなのが視聴モチベを維持するの大変でした
駄作と言われるのもわかるけど好きな所もいっぱいある作品です
個人的には人物像に趣味の悪い改変が多くて苦手なんですけど、リアタイ時は小説版がやたら持ち上げられてた記憶あります

個人的に1番乗れなかった理由は、突飛かつ冗長な展開が多すぎたことですね
しょーもない話をグダグダやっててメリハリをあまり感じなかった
二点目はやっぱ正直キャラデザ
手放しでかっこいいと思えなかった
時が経って再評価路線もあるのかもしれないけど、僕の中では面白くない作品として覆ることはないかも
当時は子供心に「もう終わるのにジラードなんかに尺使うなよ…」とか思いつつも、まとめサイトの過剰な叩きに対して「こんなんもう難癖だろ！」と怒ったりもしていたので、ある意味思い出深い作品
エターナル実装でもっと人気出ると良いな
