These dudes are so lost š
Just so you know, you've seen Saint Germain in other media (Castlevania). Historically he was a philosopher among other things but he has a myth about him being either immortal or ahead of his time. In here he was not only talking to Richard, but also Ayaka even though neither of the two know who Ayaka is.
Also Ayaka's origin did get hinted at here, but that's spoilers.
The nurse was Jack the Ripper. He has the ability to transform into different people and objects. And the kid standing upside down on the ceiling was Jester (the vampire) and it seems he's about to do something to the girl master
I just realised that Richard and Assassin have pretty similar abilities. They both seem to be all about mimicking the abilities of people they hold great respect for. In that sense you could say they have a bit in common. I wonder if the story will ever point that out
Orginally, King Artorias(from fate stay night triology) was suppose to be summoned but King Richard was summoned in her place since the catalyst that was used in the ritual is a fake replica of Exacalibur's Avalon sword scabbard. Since King Richard is a massive fan and wants to mirror every being of himself to King Artorias, the fake scabbard linked it to him instead of the real King Artorias
Damn, this is hard to watch. You can tell they can't understand shit about what's going on and keep up with this show just for the animation. They became excited only when there is a fight going on, the rest of the time they just confused and bored, you literally can see it in their facial expressions, esp Lupa – he's way more into his gum that he keep chewing for the whole week than the actual show itself. Am i the only one that not interested in their reaction's anymore? Cuz every single episode i just know there is gonna be just more and more confusion, lack of understanding, very strange assumptions etc., which leads to the constant boredom on their side every time when there is no fights with crazy animation happening. I'm 100% sure they keep up with the show for the animation only at this point and don't give a shit about the story and characters, which is actually fine, in the end to each their own.
3:26 "No bitches?" -Francessca Prelati, 2026
Least devoted King Arthur, Richard can turn anything into Excalibur.
Altry is King Arthur/Saber, Franchesca keeps calling her Arto-chan but they're translating that as Altry for some reason.
Enkidu is not mother nature itself. Enkidu is a mindless clay made by the gods to punish Gilgamesh when he became too arrogant. Enkidu only took the form of a human and gained reason after meeting Shamhat who taught him all things about mankind. But he also fundamentally embodies nature itself.
Some important points to note that was said/hinted in the episode:
assassin-chan's leader had a teamup with Richard to fight a dead apostle during their time.
The main purpose of their alliance is to defeat Jester, Rider, and get rid of the grail mud from the previous war that Franchesca took (the same mud that transformed archer heracles into avenger, the same grail mud in fate/zero and F/SN)
Saint Germain, the guy who appeared in the dream is one of the names Franchesca mentioned that killed her in the past. I think this dream scene actually did happen in Richard's life. Saint Germain appearing in a car and him directly talking to Ayaka during the dream I think is a reference to him being a time traveler on accounts of him appearing in many different eras. That's why he knows Richard will become a Great King in the future and why he knows Ayaka is currently watching.
Ayaka is not connected to Arthur in any way. Her looking like Saber is just a saber face thing. Many characters look similar to Saber. The only reason she had that dream is because her connection to Richard got stronger when he touched her hand in episode 4 when he showed the invisible guy he's talking to.
Sigma's situation is weird and fucked up. It was hinted that he's the son of Maiya from Fate/Zero, Kiritsugu's assistant. Because Sigma tried to summon without a catalyst, it was supposedly to pick someone that was compatible or similar to him. But because grail couldn't find someone it summoned a watcher instead that'll guide him to become a true lancer. And we all know what happens to lancers in every fate. Good luck ig lol
Also, apparently the identities of the watcher's 7 shadows was revealed in the japanese broadcast.
I don't think this is spoiler but skip it now if you think it is:
.
Asclepius – God of Medicine in Greek Mythology
Icarus – A figure in Greek Mythology
Etienne of Cloyes – From the Children's Crusade
Orion – Son of Greek God of the Sea, Poseidon
Kanemaki Jisai – A Samurai (Sasaki Kojiro's teacher)
Amelia – American Aviator (Yup that's definitely Amelia Earhart)
Captain – He was only captioned as Captain but he's most likely Captain Ahab from Moby Dick.
"A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" reactions????
Enkidu was just so chill fighting Richard
8:49 We know who Lancer is, it's Enkidu, Gilgamesh's best friend from his Epic
Ok here we go lol. So you guys remember the assassin from Heavenās Feel with the skull mask right? That assassin and the fake assassin in this show, the girl who was the servant of the vampire, are from the same organization of assassin from back in 1090 called the Order of Assassins. She even has the same Nobel Phantasm as him.
well if you ever get the time, give Fate Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front Babilonia a try, (I know the name is a lil sus. but its fate guys), it does explain the Enkidu and Gilgamesh Story so well and who they truly are. Plus, its just so so good. You have no idea how awesome it is to have them both back this season.
His power is just maximum schizo š¤£
enkidu is divine-servant/weapon no heroic servant
Btw Richard Lionheart powers are basically an imitation, you'll see how weak they are in terms of power later onš
Those last few minutes, Flat was talking with Berserker/Jack the Ripper who looks like a woman, and the Vampire is hiding in the hospital
Richard moving different with a zero percent np charge š
List of Servants
Fake Archer/Gildgamesh
Fake Lancer/Enkidu
Fake Berserker/Jack the Ripper
Fake Assassin/The woman in robes
Fake Caster/The Policeman's guy over the phone
Fake Rider/The one causing the dark fog
True Saber/Richard
True Archer/Heracles
True Lancer/Watcher
True Rider/Hippolyta
True Assassin/Faldeus's Servant
True Caster/Franchesca's Servant aka herself when she was Male and human
True Berserker/Unknown
And people still have the balls to say that you can start watching the fate series from Strange/Fake, lol
It's so funny bro could just out run gate (and age) of Babylon. Most Rider and Assassin servants can't even be that fast š
King Richard can pick up anytime and he will be able to use Excalibur and the deal with Jack the Ripper is this is his berserk and goes off the idea no one knows who he was or what so he can turn into anything he wants and if you saw the screen it said something about a pale rider and thatās the one making the black smoke in the hospital if you want more info on that one I can tell you but hopefully the show explains it in the next episode
Faldeus and True Assassin believe that a Rider-class Servant is causing the widespread plague.
False Assassin, False Lancer (Enkidu, who isn't mother nature, but is a divine clay doll), and Saber made an alliance that will end once Jester (the vampire), the curse of death (False Rider), and the clump of mud (Bazdilot Cordelion and Alcides) are dealt with.
When Ayaka was knocked out, she was seeing moments of Richard's life in her dreams, where Saint Germain directly addressed her. Ayaka Sajyou is not King Arthur.
Flat and Jack started investigating for the source of the black fog, confirming that it came from the hospital, where Jester, in Tsubaki's room, notices Jack's presence.
The art direction in this episode was fantastic
Artoria is the true name of Kign Aruther, aka the blonde, green-eyed hero we all love from the main timeline. In some anime and games, the name is said and read as "Altria" because Artoria is technically the wrong translation of the name, but the fans call her Artoria anyway casue the other name sounds bad. Ayaka is also not Saber or connected to her anyway. Masters can experience dreams of a servant's life; what she saw was a part of Richard's past (it's kind of a form of Lucid dreaming that neither party can really trigger, just happens). Takeuchi is the person who has been doing art for Fate since the beginning, and he has a tendency to make characters have Saber's face because he thinks it's funny.
SPOILER FREE
Assassin is NOT Mother Earth/Gaia (Gaia IS the planet itself and therefore has no Heroic spirit form and usually summons them to defend itself if need be.) Assassin does not have a name as she had that taken from her when she was alive, just like he one from Fate Zero, UBW, and Heaven's Feel, she is a Hassan, but she differs in the fact that she is a woman. She has complete mastery of EVERY Zabaniya (Hassan's signature NP's named after the 19 angels that guard hell), the leaders of the religious group the Hassans follow didn't recognize her as worth under the excuse "she was using other peoples Zabniya's/Miracle and not making her own, therefore she lacked innovation," which was obviously a lie. Her talking about protecting Earth and being ashamed of receiving mana from a Dead Apostle is because ideals along those lines align with her religion. Although his "true name" hasn't been revealed yet, they obviously aren't hiding who she is, so I thought I'd just tell you to clear up confusion.
Note: You deadass said "drop that paragraph" as I was midway through typing this, almost like you can read my mind š
Fake Rider is granting the wishes of the girl in the coma. But since it's "death" or something adjacent, it can only do so within its sphere of influence. It 'curses' people and animals and controls them through that plagued miasma. She likes animals, Fake Rider controls/kills them. She doesn't want to lose anyone else, now the city's population doesn't want to leave anymore. The girl's desires become symptoms of the sickness they have.
Damn you guy guys must've forgotten Masters have dreams of their servants lives/pasts. I remember them talking about that in Fate Zero
Artoria Pendragon's official localized name since like 2015 is Altria for some reason. Altry is the localization for Prelati's nickname for her. The thing is that Artoria and Altria are both acceptable translations for the made up name of Arutoria, but Altria is stupid because even official localizations had been using Artoria for a long time (even in the English dub of Fate/Zero) and it doesn't look or sound like a feminized form of Arthur.
The green-haired person is not Mother Nature. It is Enkidu, a character from the same myth as Gilgamesh. Though Enkidu was created to rival Gilgamesh, they fought and ended up coming out as equals. They became friends in life.
The blonde girl, Ayaka, is the Master of Richard. Her surname is Sajyou. She is not Saber. This is a trend in Fate media called "Saberface," where certain characters have the same face as Artoria. I don't know why. Fan service?
Francesca lamenting that "the weird Saber" (Richard) was summoned instead of "Altry" (Artoria) is just her referring to the fact that she wanted Artoria to be summoned. It's like shortening "Artoria" to "Arty" but they decided to spell it "Altry." Stupid, I know.
Richard's Noble Phantasms are (1) being able to call upon the forms and abilities of people from his legend who have agreed to help him and accompany him with their souls, and (2) a budget Excalibur which can be used through any object (e.g. a stick), with the strength of the sword beam depending on how closely it resembles a sword, as well as the quality of said sword. That was why Caster mentioned "Oh, this is just a ceremonial sword," because that red and golden sword isn't a Noble Phantasm. It's just the ceremonial sword Richard was summoned with. His Noble Phantasm is more of an ability than a weapon, unlike Artoria's Excalibur.
3:52 Prelati gave the case that originally contained Avalon (Excalibur's sheath, the artifact Kiritsugu used as a summoning catalyst and later sealed inside Shirou to heal him) to the mage who summoned Richard, expecting the connection to Avalon to lead to "Altry"/Altria/Artoria/OG Saber, but instead she got the person who owned the case, the premier Arthur fanboy who collected everything he could related to the object of his obsessions.
6:59 Noble Phantasms have a tendency to be more conceptual than physical, with the strength of the concept being tied to their prevalence in their legend, so Richard's obsession with Arthur and Excalibur manifested as the ability to wield any object as if it were Excalibur, albeit at a reduced power level (even if it were the real deal, because Excalibur is Arthur's legend, not Richard's).
8:48 False Lancer is Gil's treasured friend, Enkidu. They share the same legend, and their primary Noble Phantasms are both reflected versions of Enuma Elish.
12:00 Ayaka's not a natural blonde; she's Japanese, and they've already mentioned she dyed her hair.
So Francesca is basically brain kun from jujutsu kaisen
I wonder if we're done with the preliminary rounds, and onto the fights where people start dying
3:53 Altry is Artoria, aka Saber from Stay Night. Localization happened and Arutoria became Altria cos R/L is kinda the same in Japanese. Also Nasu somehow approved and is promoting this, but as far as I've seen, no one really likes to use it (me included).
Richard and Ayaka headed to the forest to meet Enkidu(not the incarnation of mother earth, clay doll from gilgamesh's time period).
Altry is Artoria who is King Arthur.
Ayaka has not been hinted to be Artoria at all, dunno where you guys are pulling that one from.
Fake Berserker, Jack, was the fake nurse at the end of the episode. Remember that his ability is that since he's nobody he can be disguised as anybody.
When people are magically connected to Servants they tend to catch dreams/fragments of their past. Hence why Ayaka saw Saint Germain.
Gilgamesh is "Fake Archer". All the six from the first summoning batch are "Fake".
For example Richard is considered "True Saber" because he's from the True summoning batch.
So Frederica is basically a snake that's playing alongside a previously shed skin.
This season is peak
Bro is a succesful fan in every aspect
Enkidu isnāt a girl (or a boy) heās a clay puppet created by the gods to kill Gilgamesh n they ended up becoming best friends instead. Also Altry they mentioned is King Arthur (saber) and the reason lionheart was summoned instead of altry is because the box they used for the summoning was made by him to store Excaliburās scabbard.
Also Gilgameshās eyes have the ability to see the past and the present which is why he commented on enkiduās fight with lionheart + enkiduās comment at the start about Gilgamesh being angry if he sided with a weakling (he was watching everything play out)
So in ayaka's dream she saw count saint germain meeting the lionheart, count saint germain was famous for being an alchemist, philosopher and patron of arts.
About "Altryl" she meant saber/artorias as she says in japanese something that resembles arthur-chan.
For "CC" he or she is enkidu the best friend of gilgamesh from the mesopotanian legends, also they represents the wild man and the natural world.
āMother Natureā is Enkidu, the same lancer Gil fought in the 1h prologue episode, and also his best friend and companion in the Epic of Gilgamesh. It is so peak cuz they get to be together again, even tho on different side and under different masters
They translated Artoria as engrish altria at first and now they refuse to fix it so her name is technically altria but everyone with a brain just ignores that
Altry is just what francesca calls King Arthur/Artoria.
Are all of these stories of fate all sourced from the gacha game???
The reason why everyone really wants, I will exaggerate this stuff, WANTS TO SUMMON Gilgamesh is because:
1. He's a 3/4 human/god hybrid, somewhat like his real, historical counterpart.
2. Based on the Nasuverse, Enuma Elish is one of the most strongest noble phantasms as it doesn't just distort reality, it can kill outer and inner gods of the Nasuverse.
3. He's one of the most viable and easier to tame servants because if you respect and lower your pride to him, he'll respect and will totally serve you (in a somewhat weird manner since he'll look like the master and you're the servant).
4. Because of his ability, Gate of Babylon. If other servants can only fire one or somewhat sixteen noble phantasms (that's what fake assassin is doing with Zabaniya), Gilgamesh can fire off every existing weapon-like noble phantasms – even Artoria's Excalibur – since it houses every prototype and 1:1 copies of those weapons. It also houses items that could heavily support the masters, like the Elixir of Life and the water from the Fountain of Youth.
I'm sure there are dozens of peeps who got this covered and my apologies if these are actual spoilers that come up in this anime.
Altria i thought was Artoria's nickname by this freak, turns out its her official name(thank ya @reee6837)… never been a fan of official translations
Saint Germaine i think killed that degenerate body snatchin loli
Scar Red who also killed that hagus freakus was briefly featured in Heaven's Feel, can't remember if she helped with Shirou's injuries – apparently she's one of the strongest mages in verse
Green hair/ Enkidu's corpse was an antagonist in Fate Grand Order's anime series (havent watched the movies, about to)
the long haired lord guy who's been sitting around is actually from Fate/Zero (haven't seen you guys point that out, assumin yall don't know). His OG name was Waver(?) i think his servant was Iskandr, a Rider-Class burly man with Red-Hair.
our current MC is from another Fate series
Child Soldier Bro is actually the son of someone in Fate/Zero, story is pretty grim, doubt the story will be explored… lets just say child exploitation comes full circle
yall think the freak spreadin around that nasty grail mud is cool for summoning herself/ himself… fun tid bit, apparently they're responsible for degenerate bobble eyed-toad faced Caster(Gilles de Rey(?) from Fate/Zero)'s decent into degeneracy and madness.
i just happened to listen to manga reactions about some stuff from Grand Order and came across a shit ton of info that applies here too and if there's anything i've gleamed its…
everything can and will go wrong here these people are sick
assassin girl i don't get, her Zabaniya ability was def used by another assassin servant in Fate/Zero. There's no King Arthur just Artoria and her variants soooo I don't think she's a gender bent version, probs related to him
Ayaka is not meant to be a reference to Saber. She actually has the same design as the protagonist of Fate/Prototype (which was basically the original idea for Fate/stay night, with Saber being male King Arthur instead).
11:47 Yes, in the light novel it's explained that Ayaka was watching Richard's memories from his POV. She woke up once she noticed Saint Germain looking directly at her.
8:49: not technically but close in power having a connection to the spirit planet itself. Basic lore for Enkidu is that it was a golem made clay from the Earth given life by the gods given life put Gilgamesh in his place and protect the humanity after Gil became unruly and disobedient terrorizing his subject ruling tyrannically. They fought for 3 days straight tying each other out yo the limit and found respect for each other. Basically becoming friend ls through adventures after that but he joined with Gil went against the gods too and so in retribution the gods took away the life they gave Enkudi stuck him with death basically and he dissolved back to nothing but the dirt they use to make him.
Enkidu is fake Lancer
Enkidu is not really Mother Nature, but she possess some abilities similar of her, such as a strong connection to the earth and nature.
Like every Servant who is a well-known person or sometimes a concept from ancient historical stories, myths, or legends, Enkidu is also a character from the Epic of Gilgamesh, which originated in ancient Mesopotamia 3000BC.
Enkidu was created by the Mesopotamian gods as the perfect tool, the āchains of heaven,ā to force the rebellious Gilgamesh back into divine submission. Enkidu was supposed to be about as strong as Gilgamesh in order to control him. However, the plan did not work as intended, as Enkidu and Gilgamesh became friends.
Richard doesn't even know King Arthur was a woman, remember that was a very well kept secret
