15 seconds is CRAZY. Also, you are probably the ONLY reactor I've seen so far who managed to clock the Knives puppet right out the gate. Not too surprising tho
IMMEDIATELY I SAW THIS I CLICKED SOOOOOOOO FAST
Vash totally needs a group hug
I can’t help but think we are being set up for something really bad
The only thing we have to sphere is sphere itself!
They subtitle "Senpai" as "Meryl" because they still assume the non-Japanese viewers don't know jack all about Japanese terms, very silly in this day and age, I think.
I suspected you wouldn't fall for the opening puppet antics.
I really enjoyed this fight, though I wanted the same heart-destroying reveal from the manga. "Vash, meet our new baby!"
Leonof injected himself with something and we did not see the result, so I predict he will return for the battle with Gray, assuming they keep the basics of the event from the manga and '98 anime. I think we're going to get to know him better soon. It's Trigun so I, based on this episode, I would probably write it as "Vash reaches the Emilio behind Leonof, perhaps working in the line about his father's bread. We see more Emilio/Leonof backstory, Emilio becomes a friend. Then whatever he injected himself with reverses the progress or causes some other mental/physical change and Emilio becomes Leonof again. Leonof teams up with Gray and Vash has to fight Leonof again while Wolfwood handles Gray. Leonof/Emilio dies, more despair for Vash because he almost saved him.
Why doesn't anyone hug Vash? I'm guessing it's the classic Japanese aversion to public intimacy. More's the pity. He deserves a good hugging!
