I’m doing okay. I got to pack, but instead of packing, we’re playing with new makeup because that’s where my priorities are. So, in today’s video, we have Wet N Wild. We have the My Melody Kurami collection 50th anniversary. Wow, that [ __ ] is old. I say that lovingly. I’m 40. Okay, I’m old, too. Actually, no, she’s a young spring chicken. So, Melody is I guess 50. Kurami is 20. Kami is a baby. Okay, so anyway, there’s 50th and that’s kind of confusing. Whatever. Anyway, there’s a palette. So, um now I didn’t there was a vast big ass collection. I didn’t get everything. Um I only kind of got the things that like piqu my interest, right? So, I wound up getting a palette and the My Melody palette just looked like it was something that I would probably use a little bit more. And then I got these two palettes, which I’m terrified of because I thought they were going to not be so glittery. Okay, but anyway, we have the Kurami, we have the Melody uh face palette. Honestly, this looks like a bunch of highlighters to me. However, it says it could be blush. Okay. Okay, Jen. Then we have this thing which looks crazy. This is I want to say a sugar spackle. It’s called Sugar Sparkle. And this is a setting powder, a luminous setting powder that is straight up glitter. It’s glitter [ __ ] at its finest. And then I guess I have an affinity towards Melody because I got mostly Melody products, but I have a Melody. I don’t even know what you are. I think you are a lip oil. But I do love this charm though. That is pretty cute. And then this is a fun ass lip liner. That is wild looking. Okay. Um Yeah. All right. So, I done my base. This stuff is so good. If you’ve never tried it from Wet N Wild, stop what you’re doing and order this. I think it’s like $5. It’s really great. This is a little skin tint. It has really good coverage for a skin tint. And um yeah, it kind of, you know, has that Wet n Wild smell. You know, that Wet N Wild smell, but beyond that, that would be that I was like, I don’t know what the fell. I’ll find it eventually. I got to pack this room. Whatever. But I digress. Wet n Wild has a smell. And you know what I mean. Smell. Smelly, smell, smell. Okay, so I have my um foundation down. I have some concealer. Not Wet n Wild, my Ritual DeFe soft sorcerery concealer. I have to say soft saucery like that. I think I need a headband even though I don’t feel like I need a headband. I kind of feel like I need a headband. We won’t do a headband. It’s fine. But if you see like wispies and gross, listen, I’m going through a transition, okay? I’m moving house. All right. I am a shell of what I am. And by the day that I’m recording this, which is December 1st, you’re not going to see this until the following week, just know that uh we get out of here by like between like the 15th of December. So, shit’s about to get up. All right. But it’s fine. So, without further ado, let’s try some new makeup. Let’s let’s change our attitude. Let’s be positive about this. Although, I again, I’m really nervous because everything is just going to be so glittery. All right. Anyway, so here’s your powder. I shook it up pretty good. Um, okay. All right. I felt like I didn’t like that. All right. That was strong. All right. We’re going to apply some powder to the face. You know, I’m going to use this giant ass Lethal Cosmetics brush cuz I haven’t really used it. This is from the Dexter collection. Oh, she Okay. All right. She is coated. Okay. All right. I mean, okay, I’m not going to lie. I thought it was going to I thought it was going to be a little bit more glittery. Okay. It chokes you a little bit. What about this choking me a little bit? But listen, it actually not that bad. Okay. Would I call this luminous? I I I don’t know if I would say this is luminous, but it’s not like a I don’t know what this is. I don’t know why I’m so hesitant about saying if it’s luminous or not is because I feel like luminous implies that, you know, it’s more of like that lit from within kind of feel. It doesn’t feel like that per se. Doesn’t feel like a flat matte where I feel like my skin is suffocating. I guess it’s more of a natural kind of a matte. I am happy to say though that I don’t see the sparkle because let me tell you, let me tell you. Okay, this powder when you look at it in the light, this [ __ ] sparkles, okay, like a [ __ ] Twilight vampire. All right, but doesn’t look so bad. So, I’m just going to going to pounce and buff into the skin. But, okay. You know, I was a little scared about this collection, but maybe I shouldn’t be. Maybe this is exactly what the world needs right now. you know, a little bit of healing maybe. I don’t know. So, I am going to take a little powder poof and I’m going to take this razledazzle one that I got from Amazon eons ago and I’m going to take this and we’re going to we’re going to set the under eye with it. Now, you know how much or if you don’t know. Hi, my name is Theresa. I’m a garbage person, but I love the Tarte Lavender palette. pal palette. Tarte la Tarte lavender powder. It is 6:15. Okay. Tarte lavender powder. I like it because it’s very brightening and it looks great on my uncooked chicken ass. And I like a brightening under eye moment because um I feel like the world is a better place for it. So, and you know what? I got to say this kind of has a little bit of a brightening aspect when I put a powder puff down. But as I kind of blend away, right, the little excess, I think it looks nice. I’m kind of pleasantly surprised. I’m a little I’m a little perturbed. I don’t know. I’m a little freaked out because this is not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I think the worst part about it is the asbestous the asbestous sensation that I’m getting when I put this on my face. All right. So, trying to put it back in there. All right. Not too shabby. My skin doesn’t look It looks matte, but it’s not like, again, it’s not that insufferable shitty matte where you just feel like you can’t breathe. Like, I feel fine, which is good. So, what I’m going to do now, there’s no bronzer in this collection, so I’m just going to add a little bit of bronzer off camera, and then we’re going to come back. We’re going to try to figure out how to best use this. Okay. Okay. BRB. Hi. So, this feels more like my highlighter palette. Very dry. Very, very dry formula, but it’s it’s not bad. In a weird way, it kind of reminds me of like a watered down version of the Dior backstage palette. Like a very watered down version of like my favorite Dior palette, which is like the rose gold one. Oh my god, so good. Um, it kind of reminds me of that a little bit. But let’s see what this guy I don’t know how these would work as blushes. It’s like they’re Dude, they’re straight up highlighter palettes. They are really pretty. So this side is Melody or my Melody and then the side is Kurami. They are really pretty. I’ll give them that. Yeah, they’re not as sparkly as I thought they would be. Like they looked kind of like menacing. They looked menacing in pan, but like this actually doesn’t look so bad. So, I think I kind of am, dare I say, you know, dare I say, I’m kind of leaning more towards Kurami a little bit. But I think what I’ll do is one side we’ll do this guy and then the other side we’ll do this guy. So, let’s go in with the pink shade cuz I feel like this is the only shade. Oh, that’s sparkly. That could potentially be blush. And yeah, [ __ ] That is That’s not blush. That’s not blush. That’s a highlighter, babe. That’s a highlighter. I don’t know who the [ __ ] you’re fooling with this, but that is not that’s not blush. That is not blush. Um, and it is. Oh, she is sparkly. Oh, she’s sparkly. Okay. Uh, I’m going to just do a little more cuz why not, right? Yeah, man. That’s That’s up. That’s up. Uh, that is not blush, bro. And I mean, the fact that you can kind of like buff it away and all it is is just straight up sparkle. Okay. Okay. All right. This is what I’m going to do. All right. I’m going to Wow. It’s actually sparkle that you can wipe away, which is kind of crazy, but Okay. I don’t know what technology this is. Um, but it’s wild. This is what I’m going to do. I’m just going to go into this. This is uh the Too Faced holiday palette. And I am going to open this up. And I’m just going to use like use that blush. I think I went too I flew too close to the sun. turned myself into a possessed child. Okay, hold place. This is This is I don’t even know. No words right now. Okay. No words. All right. So, this is what I’m going to do. Okay. Going to take a little bit of this, a little bit of this, a little bit of this, a little bit. I’m just going to mix and match. Yeah, man. This is like kind of lowkey disappointing, but it works better as a highlighter, but it’s like kind of it’s weak. I don’t know. Like, it’s weird. It’s kind of giving me like this glazed this kind of glazed buttermilk. I don’t know what the this is. Okay. Like my blood type. Glazed buttermilk. That’s what it looks like. It’s just what is I don’t know. I don’t I’m not not a fan of it. Not a fan of it. I mean, it’s not terrible, but like it’s not what I thought it was going to be. I think that’s really what it is. It’s just not what I thought it was going to be. So, I’m going to just go on the other side. Take the Kurami one. Kind of do the same thing. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, a little bit of this. Oh, ma’am. Ma’am. Okay. Wow. Okay. Um, ma’am, this is Oh, this is wild. But I do like it a little bit better than the Melody palette. I don’t know. I guess they’re both shitty. They’re both kind of shitty. And I’ve got to put it on my nose cuz I don’t know what else to do. Oh, I do like the nose highlight though. It is very 2016 and I’m like a little wood nymph. I like that. Um, okay. I definitely think the Kurami palette, there is something about the Kurami palette that I could [ __ ] with. I don’t know, maybe it’s just the purple or whatever. Just kind of mixing everything, but it’s not as bad. I don’t know. The Melody one’s kind of weak in my opinion, and this one I just feel I feel a little more something in my um makeup groin for it. Like I’m a little bit more excited. But this is something that I could see myself decluttering in six months, which is kind of shitty and bad. So, if I were you, I don’t think I would pick this up. The fact that I’m kind of okay with the luminous setting powder says a lot, but I’m okay with that product. This one, I don’t I don’t know. Like, it’s just I’m really kind of surprised because Wet N Wild, oh man, the Mega Glow highlighter, [ __ ] it’s where it’s at. Like, that’s a great highlighter, but there’s just something about this that I’m just I don’t know. I’m just like not not really into not into it. Not into it, babe. I’m just not into it. So, I’m just going to spray the out of my face with some one size. I think I put way too much pow. Thank god I found backups. Thank god I found backups. Um I’m going to let this marinate for a minute and then we’re going to move on to the eyeshadow because um I think this is the best that I’m going to do today. I don’t look terrible, which is great, but I guess I just had a these swatches felt a little bit more promis. You know what? Maybe I’m being a little harsh on it. Maybe it’s not as bad as I think it is, you know, with that kind of um one size powder and how it’s like melting everything together. I feel a little bit more hopeful. I feel a little bit more hopeful. Okay, so let me just just do this for a minute and then get these swatches off my hand and then let’s play with this [ __ ] palette. Can I tell you, I kind of like like everything. I feel like this this whole thing is gaslighting me. I hate how much I kind of like am into it. But here’s the thing, though. It’s not because of the products necessarily, the ones that I am talking about in today’s video. I think it’s the one size, the one size um setting spray, the powder melt. This [ __ ] is a true testament that you can make the blandest looking thing and make it look like I don’t know, like your skin has luminosity. This thing has more luminous properties than the actual setting powder, which I’m not mad about. The setting powder was fine. It’s the weirdest thing. I don’t understand it. Also, I’m so mad that I didn’t get the mirror. Apparently, the mirror is very warped and like a funhouse mirror and it’s terrifying and I kind of forgot to pick that up. I meant to get this collection in uh Walmart and then I kind of forgot about it cuz you know ADHD brain and then I saw that it was an oldest. That’s how I picked this up. Um which by the way, very happy on my part. So, here we go. Here is our 2 4 6 8 10 pan palette story over here. We have four little mattes and then we have six little shimmers. So, let me just do some quick fun baby swatches. See what we’re working with today. Babe, what are we working with? I kind of feel a little hopeful. That’s the top row. Okay, that’s not bad. It’s very light. Listen, I’m not expecting much from this. As long as I get some sort of pigmentation and I’ll shut up. That’s the bottom row. Yeah, I mean, it’s fine. It’s fine. It’s fine. I think the goal is just to get something. So, let’s see what I get. So, what am I doing? What am I doing? I’m going to go with this one. I feel like this one had the most pigmentation. Well, second to the one next to it, cuz that’s technically the darkest shade. This is the second darkest shade. Okay, not bad. It’s giving pink eye. It’s giving infected. It’s giving whimsy. I like it. Honestly, Wet n Wild shadows are so hit or miss. Um, I’m pleasantly surprised if something works for me. like pleasantly surprised. But so far, I don’t notice any uh kind of Hold on. Oh, wait. Hold on. I don’t think I notice patchiness. I don’t think I notice any patchiness. But I am going to take this shade, which is right above it. We’re just going to blend out those edges. Okay. I think I went a little too close to the sun. Clean brush with nothing on it. just to kind of blend. I’m going to take the lightest shade. It has a lot of kick up in here, but not the end of the world. I’m take the lightest shade and just kind of blend that out because I am kind of legitimately giving you um you know, summer camp. Someone farted on my pillow case kind of a a look here with the pink eye. Well, you know what actually looks like? Um staining. You know when you sometimes use like a hot pink shade and it stains your [ __ ] lid for like days? That’s what this looks like. But that’s not the shadow’s fault. That’s just my appearance. It’s the uncooked chicken in me that just makes pink not all that appealing honestly. But I got to say it’s not that bad. I mean this is not a palette that I would actually like pick up on the regg because again infected pink eye which I mean in hindsight why didn’t I pick up the Kurami palette? I should have probably picked up the Kurami palette but eh it’s not terrible though. Yeah, I think I that up. I’m just All right. I’m sorry. I’m just gonna Let me try that one more time. I don’t I didn’t like how that looked. I’m like I want to give this [ __ ] a fair chance. And I’m giving you like again just infected. All right, we’re going to try this again. Going to go in with that pink shade. I’m only going to really put it on the lid because I think what I did was kind of put it a little bit too above the crease. And since I don’t have a lot of real estate, it kind of um just looked like an infected eye. All right, I feel kind of good about that. And then I’m going to take Also, this looks so much deeper. Interesting. So, I normally use natural hair brushes, but it’s picking up better on a synthetic brush, which is fun. So, I’m gonna go actually between these two shades. Just blend that edge out. Yeah. See, that looks that looks better. I don’t hate this. I think this actually looks pretty decent. I’m going to go into the the deepest shade. I want to see like how how deep it is, which honestly doesn’t really feel that deep. So, that’s kind of kind of pointless if you ask me. Like, the tones are too similar. I was kind of hoping for like a little bit of um Oh, my eye is leaking on the side. That is kind of I wonder if it’s the powder that’s [ __ ] me up because this over here is like not great. And I got right up in there when I set my under eyes. Okay, so I tried using that deeper shade. Um not really doing much of anything except giving me unnecessary fallout. So, we’re going to say no to that. I think what I’m going to do now is there are six kind of like satiny shimmer kind of shades. Let’s see. That one could be kind of fun. That’s like the light pink one. But then I could also kind of think do that um that one shade in the palette that kind of looks really really shiny. So I think what I’m going to do is take a little bit of NYX glitter glue and I’m just going to kind of paint the lid. go into that first shade. Oh, that’s fun. I like how sparkly this is. This is really cute. And like my favorite thing lately has been kind of putting down like matte shadows and then putting on something like super sparkly, but also kind of a little bit um transparent. So, it’s not like overtaking the look, but it’s just kind of adding like a little bit of sparkle and dimension. And this is like giving very wet celestial [ __ ] which is two thumbs up for me. So, um I think what I am going to do though, this is kind of alarming actually. The amount of water that’s coming out of my eye right now. This This should be interesting. Come on. Allergic reaction. I’m due for one, right? See, I’m going to add a little bit of liner. Oh, yeah. There’s something in this that is me up. All right. We’re just going to add a little bit of liner. I’m going to take the deepest shade and I’m just going to kind of run it through my lower lash line and then take that first shade, blend it out with Okay. I mean, other than the fact that it’s burning my [ __ ] it’s not that bad. It’s not that bad. I’m going to add a little bit of mascara, do the other eye, and then we’re going to move on to the lips. I don’t hate this. I really don’t hate this. Um, my eyes are burning, though. Oh, they’re burning. So, we’re going to finish this video real fast cuz I got to take off this [ __ ] uh setting powder. It’s killing the outer corner of my eyes. So, yay. I got this adorable weird ass shaped lip liner. Uh oh. Okay. Okay. Okay. All right, ma’am. I like it. I like it. Oh, I don’t love the shape of this thing cuz it first of all is this a lip liner? This feels like a lipstick. Oh, lip liner. Lipstick. You know what helps, [ __ ] If you read cuz I was like this is way too pigmented and way too like duh to be just a lip liner. You know what I mean? Like this is okay. I like the color though, which is funny because I feel like normally I would be like, “No, I hate it.” Dare I say I don’t need anything else. But we’re gonna throw this on here. I think this is by far the cutest thing. But I like the lip liner lipstick, though. Oh, okay. Ma’am, that is sparkly. But I don’t hate it, though. Okay, this is a lot. I look a little I look a little crazy, I feel like. Um, but in a good way. In like a good way. Okay, so I don’t hate this. I don’t hate this. I would love for my eyes to stop leaking. That would be great. But overall though, like I’m not mad at this. I think this is actually not that bad. But there are just a few caveats here. Okay, so um let’s talk about the setting powder. I’m happy that this is not straight up glitter. I’ve been told that it’s straight up glitter. And maybe it’s because I applied it with the brush. Maybe that’s what helped it because as I was buffing it into the skin, maybe I was buffing away those sparkles. Either way, I didn’t feel like my skin looked luminous really. It kind of just looked like a natural matte. Like it wasn’t like a um a hard matte. It was just like a natural matte, a soft and not even a soft matte cuz I feel like I feel like that has luminosity to it. It’s just like um not quite a natural but not like full-on matte like in that in between. Whatever the that means, that’s where it is, right? I think what helped me ultimately all right and the thing that was the saving grace is the one size powder melt. That’s what gave my skin luminosity, not the powder. Okay, but I don’t hate the powder until it started burning the um edges of my eyes. Like my eyes are [ __ ] leaking on both sides. And I know it’s not the eye shadow because I didn’t put any eyes shadow in this eye when it started to leak. So I think it’s definitely whatever’s in this is me up. So I don’t think I’ll be using it after today. So it is what it is. Now when it comes to the face palettes, very generous calling it a face palette. Let’s call it what it is. It’s a highlighter palette. You cannot make blush out of these. It’s just impossible. But as a highlighter, I’m not super mad at it. I think the Melody one was a little bit disappointing at first cuz I was like, I don’t really kind of get the hype. And then the Kurami felt a little bit like more intense, but again, I think what ultimately brought everything together is the one size powder melt. When I sprayed my face with it, then I was like, “Okay, I look kind of cute.” Like no lie, like I’m into it. Again, I think the selling point for me is the one is the one size powder melt because it just I don’t know brought everything together. Oh, this this gloss is gloopy cuz it’s already starting to run. H okay. Not surprising. All right. So, um yeah, didn’t love that. Now, when it came to the eye shadow, you know, um I’m glad that I kind of redid my eye first because I felt like it just was a little bit too much and it was totally my bad. So, I’m kind of glad that I took it off and then reapplied it. I think this shadow is fine. The mattes, specifically, um really these three, they were okay. This deep one over here serves no purpose. It serves no purpose. It doesn’t add dimension. It doesn’t really do anything. It’s It’s kind of pointless. So, I kind of wish that there was like a dark brown in here. I think that would have definitely been like a nice little period on this sentence. You know what I mean? Like, I think it would have really tied everything together. But, the fact that it’s just this shade, but like maybe a hair deeper provides no substance whatsoever. I am really thoroughly impressed with this shadow because it kind of almost has like um a supershock kind of quality to it, which was really nice. And I really like how kind of sparkly my eyes are. I think that looks great. I didn’t love that there wasn’t a deeper matte in this one because it kind of made me have to use liquid liner, which is not my favorite thing in the world. So, I feel like I went a little I don’t know. I think one side liquid liner looks fine. The other side kind of looks a little bit chunky. That’s me. So, my bad on that. But, I wish there was like a brown like a chocolate brown because that would have been like a nice like little smoky moment. It would have added a little definition to the eyelashes instead of like this kind of chunky [ __ ] line. And I really didn’t want to use another palette, although I was very tempted. But yeah, like this is fine. It’s fine for what it is. I think if you’re like a fan of like Melody, like I don’t think you’d be like really upset like, “Oh man, like this is it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever tried, but it’s certainly not the best.” It kind of falls into the forgettable category. So, in 6 months, this will be decluttered. I said what I said. Um, yeah. Oops. Now, when it comes to the lip product, I like the lip liner lipstick. It’s very pretty. It’s definitely a soft matte, very comfortable. I I have no notes. I was kind of confused about the the triangle tip or actually not even it’s it’s like um I don’t know like a weird doggy door. It’s like a weird doggy door shape. I was like what is this weird kind of fat upside down triangle? But when I noticed that it wasn’t only lip liner then I was like oh okay that makes sense. I think the formula is very beautiful. I like it. I don’t know um if I would add this on top of it only because it’s definitely running the lip liner lipstick into the outer corners where I’m getting like excess and it’s kind of like running into the corners of my mouth kind of giving me that joker mouth. So, I don’t love that. So, I think I would probably either just do one or the other because it has like a clear kind of a base. I think actually it has like a light kind of pink to it. It’s very pretty. I think I would probably just wear this on its own and I would wear the other thing on its own. I wouldn’t combine them. But for the sake of this video, I figured, [ __ ] it. Let’s combine it. Let’s see how it turns out. But overall though, I don’t hate it. Even with the mild allergic reaction that I’m having in the corner of my eyes, and I I just want to cry. It’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be. So, if you’re going to purchase this, kind of um purchase it on sale, like when Ulta has like one of those good sales where like Wet N Wild is 50% off, I think that’s when it’s kind of worth it to get. It’s not the kind of collection that you must have by any means, but if you happen to see this on sale and you’re in an Ulta and you’re like, it I have $3 to spare, I say that’s when you get it. Um, other than that, I don’t think it’s anything special. You could save your money here. Um, but I feel like that’s surprising nobody. So, um, that said, I would love to hear from y’all.
