She Was Treated Like Trash, Now She’s a Duke’s Fiancée | Betrothed to My Sister Ex Episode 12.

Previously, Marie finally realized the weight of her choices and with Cyros and Lady Lulu by her side, resolved to stop running. She declared she would confront her parents and headed for the Shadran household, determined to face the truth head on. So, Marie and her companions set out for the Shadran lands. Her resolve hardened. As they neared the estate, she silently reaffirmed her decision to confront her parents and uncover the truth. At the gates, Tomas attempted to deliver an urgent message to the baron, warning of impending consequences if the doors remained shut. An elderly maid, however, stubbornly refused to grant entry, insisting that nothing could be done and dismissing him outright. While the two exchanged tense words, Cyros asked Marie once more if she was certain about moving forward. She stood firm and with her consent, he signaled to advance. Prince Lufon, amused by the standoff, spurred his carriage forward without hesitation. With a thunderous crash, the gates splintered and the old maid was sent tumbling aside. Watching the wreckage, Tomas could only remark that he had tried to warn her. As the gates of the shade ran estate shattered under the force of Luifon’s carriage, Cairo scanned the grounds and caught sight of the baron cowering on the upper floor. Without hesitation, he directed Mio to secure the fugitive noble. Moving with effortless precision, Mio vaulted through a window and subdued the baron using only minimal force. Though his protests echoed through the halls, watching this display, Tomas wondered at the true nature of the seemingly gentle maid. Moments later, Mio descended with the baron restrained, calmly reporting that he had continued to struggle and had been subdued for everyone’s safety. Cairo’s advanced to confront him, revealing at last the true connection between them. The Baron, startled and shaken, froze as Tomas formally announced the arrival of the Baroness and their son. Marie stepped from the carriage with composed elegance, her presence radiating dignity and confidence as both parents stared in shock and Cedric overcome with emotion, ran to greet her as his elder sister. Nearby, Luon observed to Anastasia that no one within the household appeared to recognize her true identity. She reflected on how even Luifon himself had once mistaken her for a boy when visiting the workshop and explained that she had chosen to disguise herself again in order to witness everything directly and ensure that past mistakes would never be repeated. Baron Shadran erupted in confusion at Marie’s unexpected arrival, but she remained composed and explained through her actions and bearing that after receiving no response about the betroal ceremony, she and Kyros had come directly to the estate, hoping at last to gain her parents acknowledgement of their union. Cyros, equally resolute, presented written proof of his devotion to Marie as evidence of their sincere feelings. Marie’s poise faltered only briefly as she reacted with quiet embarrassment to his gesture. Observing the scene, the still disguised Anastasia questioned the barren state of mind, while Mio, having seen the extent of his behavior, judged him to be beyond reason, and Lufon burst into laughter at the tension. Marie, determined to maintain control of the situation, led everyone toward the hall to speak properly. As the group moved through the corridors, Cedric worried aloud about the fate of his parents, prompting Tomas to reassure him and urge him to trust his elder sisters. Cedric, confused by the use of the plural, expressed his puzzlement. But Tomas quickly deflected, leaving Cedric only somewhat comforted. As they advanced into the hall, Marie reflected that it was unlikely anyone would pierce the disguise her sister wore. The baroness, coughing and appearing pale, assured those around her that the sudden upheaval had merely left her feeling unwell. Yet, when she turned, her expression hardened, and she glared at one of the servants, condemning the sight of the same vivid red hair that marked Marie. She denounced it as cursed and held it responsible for the deaths of Lady Sasha and Anastasia, claiming that both of them had been far more worthy and that Maria alone had survived. Maria attempted to reach out to her mother, remarking on the change she saw, but the Baroness brushed her off coldly and urged her to leave her alone before sweeping further into the hall. Meanwhile, the baron, having been untied, erupted in outrage at the treatment he had received, calling his capttors barbaric and declaring that he had nothing to discuss with them before ordering them to leave. As he attempted to walk away, Marie stepped into his path, blocking his escape and silently imploring him not to run. But the Baron stiffened with arrogance and proclaimed himself the lord of the land and her father. Cyros countered the Baron’s defiance by challenging the titles he claimed, dismissing both his authority as lord and his standing as a father. The baron bristled at the insult and moved to respond. But Prince Luifon stepped forward and presented a formal decree stripping Greor Shadran of his authority over the domain. Shock overtook the Baron as Cyros exposed his inability to speak Flareen, the language required to manage the estate’s affairs. The Baron attempted to dismiss the accusation by claiming a dislike for foreign tongues, but Cyros pressed him to demonstrate even a basic exchange in Flareen, leaving him speechless. Lufon then laid out the findings of their investigation, explaining that after Lady Sasha’s death, the Baron had never informed the crown that his daughter had been acting in hisstead, a violation that made him unfit to govern. Cyros pronounced that for abandoning his official duties and concealing the crime, the baron would be held accountable. Terrified at the consequences and realizing the weight of the decree, the baron fell to his knees, fearing the loss of everything he had clung to. Marie then stepped forward with calm authority, declaring that there was still a way to preserve the Shadran name. Under her proposal, the Granado family would assume control of the estate’s administration, but Gregor Shadran would be allowed to keep his title and residence, and skilled officials would be dispatched to support the territory. This reprieve came with a single condition. He must apologize to her. The demand stunned both parents. Cyros reinforced the ultimatum by outlining the baron’s offenses, violating Marie’s dignity, manipulating, and confining her to the house, and made clear that only an open apology and a plea for assistance would secure their help. Speaking not only as Marie’s partner, but as a fellow noble, he urged the baron to recognize his failings. Marie pressed for an answer, asking why he had evaded proper procedures and forced everything onto her shoulders. The baron exploded with anger, insisting it was natural for a worthless daughter to obey her parents. Cyros condemned this attitude, pointing out that even now he showed no gratitude for the person who had borne the weight of his responsibilities. He explained that the essence of true nobility lay in humility, in seeking help when needed, in showing thanks without shame. There was no disgrace in relying on others, only in twisting truth into lies and scorning those who supported him. That selfish pride, he said, was the real crime. He reminded Gregor Shadran that Lady Sasha herself had once hoped to see him grow into a worthy lord of this land. The baron’s fury erupted as the confrontation reached its peak. He could no longer maintain his composure and overwhelmed by frustration and bitterness revealed that his own mother had never expected anything from him. This admission exposed the core of his resentment and explained the rigid oppressive behavior he had shown toward Marie. Cyros immediately understood that the baron had spent his life seeking the approval of Lady Sasha. Desperately wanting her to hold high hopes for him as a lord. Stripped of his pride, the baron’s resolve crumbled, and he sank to his knees, unable to continue the facade of authority. At that moment, the baroness intervened, her voice sharp and cutting as she condemned the chaos he had brought upon their household. She accused him of dragging their family into misfortune through his stubbornness and cruelty and turned her bitterness on Marie, claiming that the girl’s red hair had only ever brought unhappiness. In her grief and rage, she went so far as to blame Marie for the deaths of Lady Sasha and her beloved Anastasia. Anastasia finally revealed that she was alive, shocking both the Baron and Baroness and dispelling any lingering misconceptions about her death. She explained that Marie should not be blamed for the strange and chaotic events that had occurred and reflected that her family had focused only on her outward appearance, particularly her blonde hair rather than who she truly was. Overcome with relief and joy, the Baroness rushed forward to embrace Anastasia, marveling at her return and the beauty of her hair, only to be gently pushed back as Anastasia clarified that she had never truly been the daughter the Baroness had expected. In the midst of the confrontation, a dramatic revelation occurred when the Baroness’s wig fell off, exposing her natural red hair and leaving everyone present stunned. Anastasia and the others were shocked by this discovery. Realizing that the Baroness had long concealed her true appearance, the Baroness, enraged, declared that Marie could never find happiness because she shared the same red hair, insisting that she was unlike Lady Sasha and Anastasia, whom she had idealized, and reinforcing the deep-seated prejudice that had shaped her harsh treatment of Marie. Marie came to a profound understanding of her mother’s actions and intentions. Recognizing that the Baroness had long admired and envied women like her own mother and Anastasia, valuing their delicate builds and blonde hair as the ideal for a princess, she realized that her mother had projected these standards onto her, believing that women with red hair and taller stature were destined for misfortune. Confronted with this, the Baroness adamantly insisted that someone with red hair could never be happy or achieve the status of a princess, claiming that even Lady Sasha had never truly loved her, Marie reflected on her own past, admitting that she had similarly rejected herself. Believing that she was unworthy of love and had closed off her heart. Yet through her experiences with Cyros and the friends she had met at Granado Castle, she had discovered the courage she had lacked, the courage to face herself and her own worth. Turning to Cyros, Mio, and all those from the castle who were not present, she offered a heartfelt apology for the misunderstandings and pain caused by her previous assumptions. With newfound clarity and resolve, Marie declared her desire to move forward into the future alongside Cyros and the people of Granado Castle, signaling her intent to bring an end to the long-standing conflicts with her family. In a final confrontation, the Baroness, overcome with fury, turned to Anastasia, the one person who had always followed her. But Anastasia firmly asserted that neither she nor Marie were dolls to be controlled and demanded that they no longer be bound by her expectations, causing the Baroness to lose herself completely and break down in anguish. With the family’s authority dismantled, the Granado household assumed control over the Shadran lands. Cedric, preparing to become the next lord, enrolled in a rigorous school in the capital, while his father undertook the same grueling course with the goal of serving as Cedric’s valet and eventually returning to the Shadran estate, though his future promised to be fraught with challenges. Back at Granado Castle, Lady Lulu observed that the former Baron was diligently working to improve himself. And Kyros revealed that he had discovered Lady Sasha’s journal in a storehouse containing her reflections on the baron and his wife, which likely provided him with important insight and guidance for the future. While Baroness Alva, though spared any legal consequences, now lived alone in an empty house, isolated and removed from the lives of those she had once sought to control. Meanwhile, in the royal capital, Anastasia hesitated outside the artisan’s quarter, anxious about approaching old man Norman after concealing her true identity. Lufon encouraged her with light-hearted persistence, reminding her that he understood how lonely and uncertain she might feel and urging her to act despite her fear. Anastasia admitted her apprehension, confessing that she had been dishonest with Norman from the beginning and feared asking to continue working with him would be selfish. Luon reassured her, noting that she had abandoned a life of being treated like a doll to pursue the opportunity to live freely and follow her passions and emphasized that courage was required to claim that life. With his encouragement, he helped her overcome her hesitation and guided her forward into the artisan’s quarter. Once inside the room, Anastasia found Norman still at work and revealed her true identity, explaining that she was no longer Arthur. Norman, already aware of the truth from the count, confirmed he knew her real name and had prepared a full set of customized equipment for her, including hammers and gloves tailored to fit her hands. He acknowledged that she should have told him sooner, and Anastasia, overwhelmed with emotion, apologized sincerely and embraced him, expressing her heartfelt gratitude. Outside, Prince Lufon observed the reunion with satisfaction, approving of her courage and determination. Then mounted his horse, Ringamaru, and departed for the royal palace. As summer reached its height, the day of the engagement ceremony arrived, marking the moment when Marie would become the future bride of the person she loved. The ring exchange took place before a large gathering of guests, symbolizing their union and drawing admiration from all in attendance. Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal, expertly prepared by Toppo, who prided himself on the quality of his cooking and highlighted a special apple pie that became an immediate favorite. Meanwhile, Tunka demonstrated her exceptional skills as a butician, impressing the female guests by styling their hair and enhancing their appearance with elegance and precision. She attributed the success to the quality of the materials she worked with and further promoted a special hair oil available through the Granado Trading Company in the capital, which drew praise from nobles who appreciated both its aesthetic and practical value. Then the group of middle-aged moved to the garden, who found its design and beauty truly magnificent. Jonah highlighted that the display was not only visually impressive but also highly practical, presenting baskets full of fresh vegetables that demonstrated both elegance and utility. The ceremony continued with a graceful dance where Cyros and Marie moved together with elegance and harmony, captivating everyone present. Silly observed them with admiration, noting Marie’s beauty and wishing for an escort like Cyros herself. At that moment, Cedric invited Silly to dance, and she accepted, joining in alongside the bride and groom, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. The butler watched with long-held anticipation, while Tomas expressed his happiness with tears of joy. Anastasia complimented Marie on her radiant appearance, and Luifon playfully remarked on her beauty and candid nature, appreciating her honesty, even in the presence of royalty. Their interaction led to Lufon proposing the idea of marriage, and Anastasia, though initially surprised, accepted in a straightforward manner, noting that the betroal had already been established. Lufon then revealed that he already had five other fiances he had never met, prompting light-hearted banter between them, with Anastasia dismissing the matter and focusing instead on the moment, showing her independent spirit and refusal to be burdened by a grumbling prince. Meanwhile, Lulu reflected on the day with relief and pride, acknowledging that she had been worried about the outcome, but was grateful to witness her son shining so brightly. Mio attributed his success and composure to the love and guidance Lulu had provided. But she humbly insisted that it was also thanks to Mio’s constant support and presence, which brought a blush to Mio’s face. Lulu then asked for Mio’s perspective on whether the couple would make a good married pair, and Mio admitted uncertainty, noting that both were still growing and that the master was in the midst of adolescence. Lulu gently admonished her for speaking so bluntly. Yet Mio remained confident that a happy future awaited the couple, and the expressions of joy and contentment on the faces of everyone present at the castle reflected that certainty unmistakably. As night fell, Marie stood alone outside the castle, lost in thought. When Cyros approached her, sensing her quiet reflection, she quietly admitted that she was remembering everything from the day they first met until this moment. Cyros acknowledged how despite often being on different pages, meeting her had changed his entire world and that she was the first person he had ever truly wanted. He expressed gratitude for her existence and for being by his side. While Marie reciprocated, reflecting on how his green eyes had brought light and color into her previously closed off world, and how when she hesitated, he had taken her hand and guided her forward, teaching her things she had never learned before. Cyros remarked that every moment they had shared had shaped the people they had become together. As they leaned in for a kiss, a sudden display of fireworks erupted in the night sky, captivating the castle staff, guests, and family alike. Amidst the dazzling spectacle, Cyros lifted Marie, and they shared a heartfelt kiss, and Marie realized that they would find true happiness as long as they remained by each other’s side. 1. What the hell parents! Both are jealous of their own daughter! Mother, by good looks, of Marie despite having red hair! While father is jealous because, Marie is talented in languages?

  2. These parents should go to jail. Even when given the option of getting help, they continue to double down and blame Marie. The parents were just twisted and narcissists who tried to play the victim card. I'm glad all the children found happiness.

  3. WAIT
They changed all the stuff from the original source??
Hell yeah I'm gonna go watch it now then, one of the only times that a huge change from the source material is very welcoming the original history was getting on my nerves.
