THE TRAUMA!! 😭🤬 Tougen Anki Episode 11 Reaction / 桃源暗鬼 11話

Alright and welcome back to MarkJrReacts Welcome if you’re new today. We’re back with some more Tougen Anki. Now where we last left off, we got to learn a bit more about the child of Kishin, or the children to be precise. And there’s 8 at a time that each possess a unique attribute. So far, we’ve only seen one. Fire, aka Enki, which is Shiki, because of course it is. And we also met a Vice Captain Momota Hina, Hina Momota, and was assigned to Momotar HQ under Samidare. And we actually learned quite a bit about the children of Kishin. Specifically, a child of Kishin refers to a child who inherited Kishin’s power. Who was at one time one of the strongest Oni generals. And we learned that he impregnated many women, which fair enough as long as it was consensual. And most did not inherit his power. We know that at certain points, quote unquote, time and time, they were born. And it apparently only happens when the Momotar side is dominating the Oni side. Which I brought up questions about who’s deciding when the Momotar side is actually dominating the Oni side. And deciding, okay, a child of Kishin should be born. I had questions about this that I hope at some point get answered, but if they don’t, oh well, it’ll just be a plot hole that I’ll be curious about. We also met Captain Shinya Momomimwa. Momimwa. I’m not going to try. He’s from Unit 21. We also learned that there are politicians connected to the Momotaro that help clean up messes. It makes sense. But then I also brought up the question of are there Momo, are there politicians connected to the Oni? Because it would make sense that the Oni probably would not have survived this long if they didn’t have some politicians helping them out. And overall, though, I am excited for this episode. I hope we learn more. At the end, we also got to see Shiki as the Enki mode, so to speak, blast really hard. Tsubakiri. And it looks like he died. He probably didn’t die. We’re being real here. Who knows Oh, let me write, I’m writing some stuff down now Ah, supercury What’s this? Back in time or present day? Could be either actually Oh Hold up Alright A researcher with a motor artsy? Fair That’s fair That’s actually only a path monotonously, damn That’s fair Monica, that’s him You Oh, maybe not Monica, that’s uh Oh, that is Monica, Monica Wait, why the fuck does he look like Shinya? Hold on I gotta look this up now, because this dude I swear to god this guy looks like Shinya Uh, from the last episode, hold on, I gotta look this up Uh I don’t have a, I have a I used him in a thumbnail One of my thumbnails Okay, time to compare Or at least for me Uh Okay, kinda similar, not quite Haircoat’s a little different And uh This guy, Monica has Nothing On his forehead, but Shinya does Okay, they just happen to have some more faces There Okay Monica Momo-Moebe Okay Let me write this guy’s name down Damn, why? What’d he do? He twisted people’s lives without warning Twisted like uh Shook them up What exactly do you mean by twisted? I think that’s a big distinction that should be made Fair Nice taste Damn, despite what I said, the next day I was reassigned Well, I was gonna say, I was gonna make a Observation that this guy might have like Some power In it Like in this, in the Momotaro agency Or whatever it’s called Is it Ains? Here I don’t know if it’s called It’s Anyways I’m getting so off track But I was gonna make a statement that this guy might have like Some pretty high like Juice in the agency But It could just be Because Super-Kiri’s a researcher That uh No one, it doesn’t really matter Like who wants him As well, cause he’s like a researcher But I don’t know But anyways Damn Horridistman Fair Makes sense Was bold and passionate And he was deeply trusted Oh Okay That’s cool Hey, even if he is like considered a bad guy To our main character I can respect characters that are Trusted by their comrades Even if they’re on the other side Because Trust and like faith Doesn’t Trust and like faith in your leader Transcends good or bad If you have I respect you that have trust of their comrades Just straight up, I do Cause it’s That take It takes Skill And genuineness usually to get that You have to come Damn This guy seemed like a nice guy What the fuck was the Amumetaro? Well, you don’t have a heart You don’t have a heart dude So of course you can’t comprehend it I realize my parents were killed by Of course Of course Gotta have the sad backstory Fuck Ah My guess I’m gonna make a prediction right now This Tsubakiri Is probably gonna be the Uh Rival So to speak To Shiki In a way Maybe not like a perfect rival Like Kogasaki is But like Tsubakiri is gonna be like a rival to Shiki Damn That happens when you lose your family I guess I have a candle in my heart Oh I have a candle in my heart That burned That burned for revenge Interesting Weird That’s weird That he doesn’t want revenge For what happened to his parents Damn Jesus Christ This dude’s insane I mean I mean Fair enough Let me write something down Okay Both my parents were always tied up with work Or Damn Damn I don’t feel bad for him Normally I would probably feel bad I would probably feel bad for her character Who had a situation like this But I don’t feel bad for him Because he kills kids Or To be fair We’ve only seen him kill one kid But he’s probably killed more So He He I don’t care about his tragic back story Or lack of tragedy I like to think was Oh I see Damn Kind of comes with the territory I guess It’s It’s similar in the same You know Now that I think about it There’s kind of a parallel between For example Keyword here For example Someone could Make a very shallow comparison between Or parallel comparison Between Super Kiri and Mei In that And how Super Kiri responded When he learned that they died He just said Oh I see When Mei is like She expected it She knew this would happen at some point Both sides Are Are Completely different And I think that’s interesting to think about Damn This is tragic So I Either they’re both going to die Or Monika’s Mon- We know Monika dies But Damn Why don’t they have any pupils? I don’t know if this is like a common thing with like other characters That I haven’t noticed But they don’t have any pupils I I don’t think these are pupils I’m pretty sure these are like This is like the light shining on their eyes They kind of look like Lego characters They have like Lego faces Yeah It’s pride and joy Damn Monika seems like a good guy, dude That’s Monika drag-mail Aww This is sweet It’s I hope they end this backstory soon Cause I don’t want to start feeling bad for Sue Bakiri Or sympathizing with him Life is meant to be a simple straight path I I mean, yeah That’s one way to look at it But it’s also like Yeah, relationships with a set path to a complicated maze It’s Life can be a simple and straight path if you let it Be that way And you don’t do anything And you like try this And you stop any chance of changing it But the beauty of life Is all the side quests you go on before you die Damn that looks good Yeah, I’m in the long while I Damn I’ll be going to Monika Such a good guy, dude I started family with you Valid question That’s such a valid question actually though I swear to come back alive Yeah Yeah I like Monika I’m gonna fire you I’m gonna fire me up Yeah Yeah You’re gonna die young, Sue Bakiri Smoking, you know, smoking kills, you know The irony Of him being a researcher who probably knows that smoking kills Is hilarious to me Although to be fair, smoking Might affect them differently Because of their Physiology, but I I imagine it probably affect Oni’s a lot differently So I actually don’t know But it’s The irony is not lost on me That a researcher Who probably knows this type of stuff Knows That the smoking is bad for him And yet still smokes Things you hold Here become weakness Yeah, not surprising That does happen It happened when we were at the home where Oni Monika saw us Damn That sucks That child killed them all He only finds it Damn Don’t underestimate children I guess it’s as simple as don’t underestimate children, man Even if they’re Children Oh fuck Jesus Christ How the fuck did I know? What? I mean It makes sense But the fact that I was able to Accurately say Those two are gonna die I I hate when I’m I sometimes hate when I’m Damn I This Hear me out At least This wasn’t Planned Like they weren’t Planned or Targeted for death It was an unfortunate chain of events It doesn’t unfortunate Accident Accidental chain of events It doesn’t unfortunate Accident Accidental chain of events At least it wasn’t like a targeted Attack On them That’s what I’ll say But damn But died in the process Damn Damn That sucks Dude The least they could have done Is let him protect his Family And die in the process But they had that Insult to injury And he couldn’t And make him not even Get there in time Like Dude I feel bad for Monica I mean I see why he said that But I also think I don’t think A part of me doesn’t think He ever truly believed That showing sympathy For them was a good thing If he If he If he Flipped so quickly after this Like yes, he lost his family But If all of a sudden he loses his family because of that And then suddenly His world view has completely changed And he Demonizes all Oni Pun intended or not intended I don’t think he ever truly Truly felt sympathy for Oni If he If he He can be so easily swayed At the At the loss of his family And that sounds harsh But Someone who truly Truly believes it They They could be shaken up But they wouldn’t have their whole world view flipped After one incident like this They just wouldn’t Only if they’d called him ruthless They probably still would be Let’s be real here They probably still wouldn’t die to some point They would have been a targeted assassination or something like that Ah Jesus Christ, dude I I do get where he’s coming from Kind of I think there’s a fine line With like Adults That’s one thing I think But children I think there’s a fine line because I don’t think all Oni children Will suddenly go berserk and kill everybody I think this kid That killed his That killed Monica’s family He He was under a lot of stress And like scared and everything So it’s like I kind of I I can’t completely blame him There also comes down to Who to blame in this situation Because Going berserk is not a Something that people consciously Do completely Completely So Can you blame the child completely Or Or could you blame the Momotaros That raided their home And presumably killed his parents That’s all I’m gonna say Is Who’s really to blame here To be fair I don’t like the look in Supercurious Eyes They just look so I don’t want to say lifeless But they look so Indifferent That If I had If I was dying Like In Monica’s position And a guy was And a guy who like I Presumably trusted Was looking at me like that I’d be like Yo what the fuck I’m dying Can you like have some sympathy Show some sympathy Even if it’s fake Like Dude I mean it works He did use his corpse I had risen the captain’s aim Yeah he only rose the captain He was He was carried to Captain Rank He was carried by Monica Damn Supercarrie trying to revive his corpse It’s okay I mean You look like he lost He looks like he lost Damn He’s actually showing emotion Damn I mean fair He’s showing emotion I’m glad actually He’s not completely homeless He died? What the fuck Okay did he actually die dude? No Damn Monica’s body’s burning up Does he even remember what happened? Oh he doesn’t remember Oh cool Is Supercarrie actually dead? I No he can’t be dead That subverts Everything I thought Yeah he used Too much blood man Jesus Christ he’s He’s losing a lot of blood man And I get that only have a lot of blood blood But There has to be a limit To how much blood he can lose Dude Yeah what should we do? Damn Smart I mean And Boudin knows the pain of Joe Yeah he is And it’s starting to keep seeing Oh nice Yeah that’s fair Yeah that’s fair Yeah that’s fair Yeah Saw that coming I mean I didn’t see it coming this second But I was like We didn’t see a body Like we didn’t see a body later on It showed the initial Him lying there covered in his own blood But like We didn’t see anything after that There’s no way they’d kill him off Got my cry Almost died yeah Drank’s on my own blood and cape He’s OP So the only way to kill him For certain Is to either destroy his heart Or call opposite If I had to guess Although Could he bring back a heart? Like Would a heart have to be completely gone To kill him Or could half his heart be gone And if he somehow ingests enough of his blood and time That he can like Regenerate the missing piece of his heart It was just like I don’t believe in luck Luck can play a part But I don’t believe in luck In this case Dude Oh dude Pathetic Oh he’s still a Okay good At least you think you’re pathetic Before I wrap this up Teach you To me it looks like he was burning his very life away Damn He probably was He probably was Like I I don’t know if I mentioned this last episode But I feel like there’s a There has to be a cost To having A power The power of a Of a Being a child occasion Like having a unique attribute I feel like there has to be a cost Beyond just blood Or whatever I don’t know why I just feel like You can’t have a power like this And Not have some A genuine cost to it Especially because I mean in In some power fantasies you can But I don’t think this is a power fantasy A complete power fantasy It might be to an extent But I don’t think this is like A complete power fantasy Because like Good guys get hurt And come close to death And pea And like people actually die Kids Stuff like that I don’t think power fantasies Would like Genuinely have like People on the good guys side Die Or be close to death As much as they already have So I do wonder if there’s a cost And what exactly the cost is If there’s a cost Beyond just blood Uh that’s a Yeah cause that’s That’s a story for another time dude Yeah Get out of there Damn This looks cool Depressing but cool Yo McGee Is he actually dead? Is this dude actually dead? Is he actually dead dude? Damn Oh fuck They tossed that on us He had a daughter What the f- What the fuck would he have a daughter? Okay Let me see if there’s more I’m gonna I’m gonna put my thoughts out there after the whole scene is finished No one really knows why he started family Who did he start the f- There’s no doubt Definitely I’m gonna be real here Who would start a family with him? Like honestly Wait Yeah There I-I did too Gotta respect him for that A man who A media another Okay Nafolian body That’s good for him I’m happy for him Super kirimomiya Yo Okay Confirmed This is basically confirmed As far as I’m concerned So Dude Okay now I’m educating emotional At like everything It’s a culmination of everything Okay so But I should give the author credit Because I didn’t think they’d actually kill off super kirimomiya this early on Like I had a feeling that he’d die at some point Because he’s like a big bad rival boss But I didn’t think they’d kill him off this early on And the f- Okay Huh That changes things Because Then the reason I say it changes things is because Again I assumed that they would probably kill him off at some point It just made sense Narratively That he pro- That they can’t both survive him and Shiki Can’t both survive until the end of the story Narratively it just wouldn’t It wouldn’t make sense For there not to be a real death between them But The fact that they did this So early on Changes things Because that means More people could die Early on A.K.A. By the end of this season More people could die Than just him Like I assumed a major so to speak death Would probably happen once a season Maybe later And not until like season 2 Assuming there is a season 2 And yet they’re doing this And like early on like this Okay that’s interesting And the fact that he had a daughter Damn Again who Did he have a daughter with I’m not even because I’m like who would have Who would have a daughter with him at this point Because fair enough There’s a person for everyone And he did stay true to himself I gotta I respect him for that But I’m more curious Well I Well I’m more curious And when When did he have the time Because I feel like he He doesn’t seem like a guy who just Lays around and do nothing And have free time So there’s that But I wanna know if The wife or mother of the child Is gonna have us play a big part I have a feeling the daughter might play a big part Assuming they go that route of having like the Daughter Wanna get revenge like A decade or two from now Okay actually they might not Unless they do a time skip Well I guess it also depends on When do Momotaros actually start Using their powers or How early does that be Okay might not Okay I can disregard that suspicion Because unless there’s a time skip It’s nothing That’s not gonna happen But I’m so But it’s The fuck Okay As I said this changes things Let me write something down Although I do suspect I say I I Toss the Tossed it out Because that doesn’t make sense But I do suspect that In some way I do suspect in some way that the Family The mother of the child and maybe the child itself Is gonna play a part somehow Because I don’t think they’d mention it I don’t think They’d mention the fact that he had a Child If the child wasn’t gonna play some kind of role At some point I don’t know what the role would be at this point Because again the last time skip It probably won’t be a significant role But whoever he had the child with That could be A Um That could be a plot line But okay I’ve talked about this enough Let’s not continue But I do I got out of respect to But Gary That he stayed true to himself And he was only 31 He looked really good for 31 I must say I never denied that he looks really good Damn Why did he have to be a mamotaro He has to be a mamotaro She gives a life Oh The pretty boy doc Yeah fair And in that term my own Of course it is Well Or anything else though Yeah but you finished them off No they’re not Yeah That sucks I wonder what’s gonna happen then I wonder what’s gonna happen to May Cause like Is there like an oni orphanage An oni family services But what happens to orphaned Oni children Cause it’s not like they’re in a village Where like It takes a village to raise them Our village can raise them They’re in the city What happens to the oni To orphaned onis Fair We got to face forward Damn Ooh this is a really nice scene Oh it’s even nicer Damn Good lighting I like the lighting effect It really brings on the idea of like It really does come down to the The phrase of they won But at what cost Because there was a cost Let’s be real here Sure they won But people died Lots of people died Something normal Like sight scene yeah Oh you’re saying a man I’m glad they answered They answered one question That doesn’t answer my other question What happens to the other oni orphans Is there an orphanage for oni There has to be right That makes sense There has to be a thing right An orphanage run by oni for oni That has to be a thing right If it’s not That’s like that’s a plot device that’s Being underutilized if that’s not Already a thing Like there are so many storylines you could do with an orphanage Of oni children Because of the fact that They’re oni still Like there’s just so much you could do with that What’s she gonna say That’s so weird She says oni-chan But then the subtitle shows Mr. Sheeky Even I know that oni-chan doesn’t mean Mr. Sheeky It means brother Or it’s either brother or big brother I’m pretty sure I’m like 90% sure that’s what it means I don’t quite get why they Translated it to Mr. Sheeky Like the viewers know that she’d be talking to Sheeky, right? We’re not that stupid But Yeah, she’s happy but she’s gonna be crying at night Alone in her bed Crying that she lost her parents Like Probably She’s probably gonna be crying about losing her parents And we’re only halfway through the episode The Oni-Asi Valley Unit Medical Unit And Mercantitude Yes Okay I’ll write this down Just in case This is probably gonna play a part in some way Med Unit Recon Unit Recon Unit Find Distinction Special Makes sense Whichever best matches your blood’s characteristics Interesting He crashed He crashed out taking notes What the hell? I don’t listen to a lot of I listen to K-pop and J-pop and C-pop I listen to a lot of English pop Of course you do Yeah Damn I’m not even gonna write it I have nothing to write down I already knew I didn’t like this guy He’s just You know at this point Naito would be better off just drawing straws Yeah no one’s gonna do that Naito’s just gone Yeah Damn Damn Yeah Yeah Shiki’s one of the lucky ones This dude’s privileged Like he has a lot of privilege in that He got to live a pretty normal life Granted he was lied to But he got to live a pretty normal life all things considered Everyone would probably be jealous of him if they knew what his life was like Yeah He was crazy I was gonna We saw the scene early on Like not early on but earlier With the glasses His glasses were on the table and the tissue I was gonna make a comment but I didn’t want to be wrong So I just kept that thought to myself Yeah Yeah he is Shiki is the heir to the Kishin’s power Yeah Yeah he is To be fair Shiki probably wouldn’t let that go to his head Go to his head He’s probably the last person to let something like that go to his head I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know She’s probably dead She really wants to share a room with Rokuro I feel bad for Rokuro She’s probably dead She’s probably dead Although I will say okay I wanna put something out there right now I’m fine I’m actually fine I’m even glad When like if that Super Carrie died Because it does prove that He can like Main pretty like known character so to speak can die But I do hope it goes beyond just the bad guys Quote unquote so to speak Dying Like I hope the good guys like Like named good guys die Maybe not Naito But like I don’t know one of the students for example Dying I hope that happens If only because I think that’s fair If If the bad guys can die The good guys can die as well That’s what I think And I mean it would Narratively it would make more sense If more of the good popular like known only characters died To go with the whole fact that the Momotar are all about Extinct Exti Extinction? Extinction No not extincting That’s not a word What’s the word? Uh Uh killing Killing? Sure Killing the oni It would make sense for more oni That like me have value honestly Die So I do hope that happens See there just to assume people are dead If we don’t see them At times Even I can fight for my future Starting now Yeah What’s up Oh Genia Yeah, genia I’m pretty sure Yeah this genia But I think he’s gonna run into this I hope I kinda hope he doesn’t underestimate Shiki Because I think like I hope it doesn’t become a case of every bad guy So every enemy I should stop saying bad guy because that’s subjective But every I hope every enemy doesn’t underestimate Shiki Honestly that’s the way to go Is that they don’t all underestimate him Moving out too Okay I mean he’s probably not wrong Damn They put a lot of details into this guy’s face I’m gonna take each you know say said Really? I didn’t realize we’re already at the end there I thought we had a little bit more Okay That was episode 11 of Toe Kanaki Let’s talk about it Alright So this was a really good episode I did it I honestly enjoyed it a lot And I’m gonna have to rethink some things Over time about this show Did you know why? Can you like leave me alone? I’m gonna have to rethink some things about this Because like the fact that they actually killed off Super Kuri That does change things I just hope it changes things in the way I hope it does And not in like a Every bad guy dies but no None of the good guys die Cause that’s the case It’s like I don’t know It just won’t be as impactful I think if like if only bad guys die If only a certain subset Of characters die It takes away the value of death in the show Like I say that just for in general for any form of media Not just in this show but any show Where only a certain section Or a certain side dies And like the other side comes off with minor injuries Or major injuries but still survives I think that D values The presence of death in a show And some people could argue that Shiki’s dad died But I’d argue that I don’t even We don’t actually We didn’t know much about him So I would consider his death Less valuable than Super Kiri’s death For the simple fact is we actually We learned more about Super Kiri We like We spent a few episodes with him And got to see him in action So his death had more value, more impact Because he’s a He’s what I consider a named character And a lot of Most characters with me have names But there’s a difference between a Oh this guy is so and so Versus Oh this guy is named this guy And so it’s like Like Super Kiri We know his name Like it was Told us to us multiple times And it focused on him He’s what I would consider a named character It goes beyond just having a name It’s How often the name is mentioned How often do we see the character Associated with that name And how is that name mentioned as well That’s what I consider a named character Which is why I don’t consider Shiki’s dad a genuinely like Meaningful death Beyond just being shock value for Shock value and trauma for Shiki That’s literally what he was He was a plot device Nothing more, nothing less Honestly Which is why I do hope that we get to see a Another named character die But yeah Let me know in the comments Some of what your thoughts are On like this episode as a whole But also On like stuff that I’ve said throughout the episode For example What do you think about my interpretation of named characters Like I hope it makes sense That like just because a character has a name At least in my view they aren’t a named character They’re just a character I hope that makes sense But feel free to let me know if something doesn’t make sense I can clarify in the next reaction And with that I’m going to wrap everything up here Thank you all so much for watching If you like this video Hit that like button Subscribe and ding that notification bell If you’d like to get your name on screen At the end of every single one of my videos Join the Patreon in the description down below For full length reactions as well as exclusives Uh it’s it’s fun over there And without any further delay Thank you all so much for watching And until next time My name is Mark Never stop being yourself Stay safe out there and I Will see you next time
